Can someone explain to us what's going on here? It seems that VIA Technologies hired female gaming crew "girlz 0f destruction" to do some event called "Couples, Computers & Gaming" with them in SF on November 11 (as evidenced by their press release landing in my mailbox). But can someone explain to me why "girls 0f destruction" looks like a hamburgered up version of the Fragdolls?

Exhibit A: G0D left, Fragdolls right.

Exhibit B: I actually went to college with the head Fragdoll.

<![CDATA[Send Gal Pal to Sweden to Learn to Game]]>

VIA Technologies, makers of core logic chipsets and sponsors of the Swedish Home of Chrome pro-gaming center, has a pretty kick-ass contest running.

The Get the Girls into the Game contest will send one woman and a friend to Sweden to train to become a pro-gamer. Fantastic!

To enter gamers need to submit their nominations to the website, answer a few questions and say why they thing their gal pal should get the free trip to the Home of Chrome. Entries will be judged based on their humor, originality and gaming need by a panel of VIA staff and girlz Of destruction team members.

Grand prize is a weekend trip to Sweden, including travel and accommodation, free gaming tuition with the girlz Of destruction and $250 pocket money.

The contest runs through September 10 and the weekend get-away will be September 22 through 24.

Someone totally needs to nominate Eliza Gauger... or Florian, because he's got such a fruity name.
