I was hoping to hear about this game, too. Sad, sad, sad...
Do we even know when it's supposed to come out? A quick Google search didn't turn up anything definitive, just a vague "2009". If it's scheduled for release by the end of the year, shouldn't we a little more about it?
Still, those screenshots look great! I love the style.
@Psudonym: I hear ya. I started playing it again a couple of days ago... Jen and Scree's banter absolutely rocks.
Looks nice and could be interesting. Still, I would like to know why she fights in non-protective clothing. Sure its sexier, but why doesn't she wear armor? is there a reason beyond sex appeal?
I liked the look of the trailer (the colours, the gameworld), but with so many studios closing and games being scrapped these days, I was starting to think that Venetica had vanished into the ether.
It's nice to hear that it's alive and well.
The game's general appearance reminds a little of Folklore and Fable II, which is a very good thing. I'd rather the grittygreyrealism trend stay confined to shooters that I don't intend to play, and not cross over into RPG territory.
Since that trend seems to be dying down anyway, it looks like we're safe. :)
Anyway, if the game can deliver on the promise of "a cinematic Action RPG with an extraordinary and deep story" and "mixing emotion and action in stunning ways" then it could definitely be a worthwhile experience.
