I seem to remember something a couple of days ago about Valve adding 2 new stages. Thing is, they might won't be able to offer this for free over XBL. I'll try to look for the link and post it here or submit it as a tip.
Valve really should be going DLC crazy for this game. There is so so so much potential for new campaigns, multiplayer maps, and other little goodies in a game that essentially relies multiplayer gaming. I'll gladly pay a smalll premium to extend this experience.
@ThisCharmingMan: Please don't say that, you'll give them ideas. If they start thinking PC owners will pay for the content they are going to start charging for it. I want this support free for as long as possible.
Add the two other campaigns, fix the bugs and exploits and then we can start talking about DLC imo. As it stands, versus mode is unplayable and that's where most of the replay value is imo.
@SunKing: The DLC will be the other campaigns. As for bugs and exploits I haven't noticed a whole lot. The melee could certainly use some kind of restriction or limitation but other tahn that it's a pretty solid game.
Less time waiting to spawn as Infected would be nice. I know it's to give the Survivors a breather, but if they could cut the wait by 5 seconds, I'd be a happy bunny. The time is more than made up by trying to find a spawn space that's out of sight.
@Stevil_T: I liked the suggestion of letting dead infected control the mindless ones some how if you wanted... at least might kill the time... the respawns I believe are shorter if you have less than 4 infected playing, and they are set at the times they are for fairness and game balance... but yes infected tend to die fast and spend a lot of time waiting to respawn.... and when infected co-ordinate together (as opposed to coordinate to spawn separately) they will all tend to be dead around the same time, and live them twiddling their frantic thumbs.
Course you could say infected get a break while Survivors are always on edge.
@Ehardergardens: Yeah, the way it works is it adds 5 seconds for each infected. 1 infected = 5 seconds, 2 = 10 seconds, 3 = 15 seconds and 4 =20 seconds. If a Tank spawns, the respawn jumps up to 30 seconds. It can be annoying but it does manage to be fair.
The only problem I see with it is that the team playing as the infected have to wait those 20/30 seconds when they have a full team. It would be so much better to be able control one of the regular horde during this period, if even just to make things less boring.
Let me get this straight, Valve are giving us PC gamers an SDK and console owners are getting the DLC? Why can't we get the DLC now too? I mean sure we'll most likely get it free 3 months down the line but seriously, the only decent mode in it is versus and I'm sick to death of No Mercy and Blood Harvest. Not good, Valve, not good at all.
@-MasterDex-: Thats what I thought when I read the title too.
It reads like:
PC getting sdk
360 getting DLC!
But I think what it means is we'll be getting info on the SDK, and info on how the DLC is going to work on the 360. We don't need to know how the updates will work on the PC because we've been getting them for years.
Someone may have already said this, and I'm leaving now, so I'm not going to be able to see if they have... but if L4D gets downloadable content before Orange Box, I will never buy a Valve title again. I thought Valve was against console users, but I guess it's just Console users who bought Orange Box.

I think Episode 3's announcement would include some Portal goodies that we would be happy with (ie the Portal gun).
But with the popularity of GLaDOS, I doubt they can quell the nerd masses enough without bringing her back.
