It'd be interesting if they could die for good, as it suggests that multiple endings or at least edited endings would be a possibility (even though I'd probably not see them for at least three playthroughs, which was how long it took for me to let someone actually die in battle to get the Spintered Horn medal). #valkyriachronicles2

I'm looking forward to this. Having heard so much good about the PS3 game but not having the pleasure of owning a PS3, I'm glad to see this is coming to the PSP. Sure, it suffers from an unfortunate title but hopefully, at least gameplay-wise, it'll be just as good as it's bluray counterpart. #valkyriachronicles2

Perhaps their strategy with naming the PSP game as the second in the series was a ploy to entice people to buy a PSP and then the PSP version, perhaps improving it's chances at making more money.

Was pissed as hell when it happened. Not so much at the console going out (this gen is a crapshoot on that front for me), but at the fact that the HDD is unsalvageable on a PS3 (since the HDDs are locked to their stock console and upon being inserted into another PS3, needs to be reformatted and there is utterly no way of getting to your HDD contents at that point). #valkyriachronicles2

I like the combination of what appears to be an action/strategy game and a role playing game.

The blend of real time gun play/tactics/and squad based commanding looks well executed.

Simply make yourself a Japanese PSN account. But be warned, when you transfer games/demos to your PSP, you are required to set it to a specific region....so you can't stockpile games from different regions on your PSP at the same time.
I've got about 20 Japanese, and 5 American PS1 games sitting on my PS3 hard drive right now. When you change regions on your PSP, it will wipe clean all of the games from the previous region on your PSP. Fortunately, the save data from all of your games will remain on your system no matter what it region it is set to. And all of those games will still be sitting on your PS3's/PC's hardrive...so you can just change the region and transfer them back to your PSP an infinite number of times. #valkyriachronicles2

You could just as easily do that...have one PSP be set to one region. I've got two PSPs as well (1000 and 3000), and I thought about doing that, but I'm sorry...once you've enjoyed the 3000's screen...its extremely tough to go back to the older models. So what I usually do is just wipe my memory card's game data whenever I want to change region...rather than just use a separate PSP for a separate region (the infinitely more convenient option).
In terms of purchasing content with credit cards...while you technically CAN do that...when you sign up for the Japanese PSN, you have to put provide an address as well (don't worry, any bullshit address will work). The thing is, I am pretty sure that the address you provide when you sign up, and and the billing address for the credit card you want to use have to match or its no dice.
I would recommend trying to use the Japanese PSN network cards/tickets. I am pretty sure that play-asia or whoever sells them. #valkyriachronicles2
