@Mister Jack started the Save The Lombax Foundation: How old is mini-Isara at the end of the game? I mean, it hadn't been THAT long since the end of Europa War 2. And this sequel is set in the two years or so post-war.
If Alicia had mini-Isara by then, that brings up the question of where the hell mini-Isara went.
Either, Alicia is now a MILF... and that's perfectly fine in my book. :D~~ #valkyriachronicles2
@PoweredByHentai: didn't click the link? in the illustration as i said, she appears smaller, a LOT smaller, almost human even, but in the game she's much larger, yes she got bigger in the anime, but IMHO its all perspective related on the 3d vs 2d. #valkyriachronicles2
@GrimCW: I did, and for the record, I bought Valkyria Chronicles BEFORE I bought my PS3. Valkyria Chronicles means a lot to me because it's the game that pushed me to jump into the next-gen system from my PS2. I still think that her rack wasn't as big as what they're showing here (the sequel). #valkyriachronicles2
Playable characters? Are they still essential characters? Hope you can't kill off Welkin or Alicia. I mean, I never had a problem with soldiers dying in Valkyria Chronicles unless I had to let them die to get a better character, but the loss of Welkin or Alicia would be too much.
@potatojenkins: Everyone could die in the last one, but only if you left them hanging or ran them solo into heavy resistance. As long as someone friendly is nearby, you can pick up a wounded teammate before they buy the farm. #valkyriachronicles2
@Griffehpoo: Cept Alicia, Rosie, Largo and Zaka couldn't ever die for good. Even if an enemy made it to them or you left them bleeding out for three turns, they'd just return to base.
It'd be interesting if they could die for good, as it suggests that multiple endings or at least edited endings would be a possibility (even though I'd probably not see them for at least three playthroughs, which was how long it took for me to let someone actually die in battle to get the Spintered Horn medal). #valkyriachronicles2
@Ladi: Ah, really? I always got someone to medic them before they died, I always assumed it would end the mission if you let story-centric characters get killed, like if you let the Edelweiss get blown up. #valkyriachronicles2
I'm looking forward to this. Having heard so much good about the PS3 game but not having the pleasure of owning a PS3, I'm glad to see this is coming to the PSP. Sure, it suffers from an unfortunate title but hopefully, at least gameplay-wise, it'll be just as good as it's bluray counterpart. #valkyriachronicles2
@Evdor: My money is on this being more of a spin-off than an actual sequel. I think it just suffers, as I said, from an unfortunate title and that there will be a true sequel to the PS3 game sometime in the future.
Perhaps their strategy with naming the PSP game as the second in the series was a ploy to entice people to buy a PSP and then the PSP version, perhaps improving it's chances at making more money.
@-MasterDex-: I'm not sure, due to the not so hot sales on ps3 and the effort pouring into this I can see this being the direction of the series from now on.
I'm quite happy about it myself, 1 was great but I think it'll really benifit from being a portable game. #valkyriachronicles2
@Blore07: I think it'll really benefit from being a portable game. For turn based strategy games, I can't sit down and just play them on my console for hours at a time. I find it much more enjoyable on a portable. Like Fire Emblem, I can't enjoy the gamecube version of the game.
That being said I love the first one and I'm glad for the transition to the PSP, and I like that they're treating it as a sequel, not a spin-off. #valkyriachronicles2
@-MasterDex-: This is a full sequel in every way except graphics. All the features from the original return in more fleshed out variety, it builds on the customisation options and team interplay, and the gameplay is more of the same, with an added morale meter.
It's essentially what SquEnix did with DQ9, or maybe Birth By Sleep compared with 358/2 days. #valkyriachronicles2
@Blore07: Creators have said they'd be up for another PS3 installment if it fits/works for them, and since there is a lot of weight behind it returning to PS3 from the fanbase, I don't see them ignoring it, since, as some people like to point out, sales of the platform have picked up. I'd say mix in some side stories or some PS3-PSP compatibility for the series to balance out or something.
The creators also said they couldn't get planes nailed down for 2 but will aim to do so in a future installment and would even look into naval units. #valkyriachronicles2
@Blore07: Definitely one of my favorites this gen. Sadly, my PS3 died and took my 100+ hours save with it :| So...I'll be doing some replaying. It sucks too. Had A ranks on all non-EX missions (including Selvaria's and Edy's missions) and had all but 1 Decoration.
Was pissed as hell when it happened. Not so much at the console going out (this gen is a crapshoot on that front for me), but at the fact that the HDD is unsalvageable on a PS3 (since the HDDs are locked to their stock console and upon being inserted into another PS3, needs to be reformatted and there is utterly no way of getting to your HDD contents at that point). #valkyriachronicles2
@SlashZaku: I thought you could mount the old drive into a USB adapter and connect it to the new PS3 that way. I haven't had to try it, though. #valkyriachronicles2
@Ladi: That's good to hear (at least for me as a PSP owner). I don't know, some people just seem to have some aversion to handhelds this generation that they see any game on one as subpar. #valkyriachronicles2
@-MasterDex-: I know, I'm personally always glad when a game comes out that can convince me to get a new console, because there's always a great backlog for me to pick up.
Handhelds are mad fun, nothing like lying on the sofa or in bed chilling with the game, or having something to game on when you're away from home. #valkyriachronicles2
@SlashZaku: I had 4 360's and a Wii crap out on me so far, this gen is just laiden with shoddy hardware.
Which is why I back up my ps3 hard drive to an externl at the end of every month, sad, yes, but when the day comes that my ps3 craps out, I'll be ready! #valkyriachronicles2
@BubbleF**kingBuddy: I have to admit I was personally hoping that Juno would win Welkin's heart in some small way.
Noce was a tool though. I couldn't even let him die, because his dying words were "Welkin, this is your fault!" I forget why he had a bad back, but whatever. The dude sucked. #valkyriachronicles2
@NervClaX: In the XMB go to the Home icon and press the triangle, then select delete. When that's done, press X on the Home icon and accept everything to re-download, install and reserve space on your HDD again. Once that's done you'll be able to get back into Home, of course you will have to re-download all spaces...
I had no idea they had 50 spaces. I guess they do if you count as the Uncharted-space in Europe and US as two different ones.
There's two suggestions I have.
1. Concerning the events (that most likely were limited to the american one) wouldn't it be a GREAT idea to somehow announce these on the dashboard, so that you might know that they actually happen?
2. Give up the regions. It's needless bull that I can't talk with people in the US just because I'm european (making US-account doesn't count), nor that I should be kept from visiting the Disgaea 3-space with my main account.
I'm not a fan of the economy. Why would I want to spend real world money on items I can only use in Home and nowhere else?
There should be a Home monetary unit and ways to earn it (and, of course, spend it) in Home. If Sony wants to tie-in real world economies, they should create a way to give players in-Home money based on the games they purchase irl. Or the Sony movies they watch. Or the Sony a/v components they buy. Or however they want to reward me for my consumption of all things Sony. (think: Pavlov)
Blah blah blah...Home sucks. I tried to give it a chance and after almost a year, it's fucking worthless. We STILL don't have...
the option to have stereos in our flats so we can play our own music and stream it to our friend's PS3s if they're in the flat with us.
the option to have televisions in our flats so we can play videos stored on the HDD and our friends can watch them as they stream to their PS3s if they're in the same room.
Where are the 3D trophy rooms that were promised?
The option to use images on our HDDs for wallpaper
These were things that were promised when Home was first announced and we haven't received anything close to it being implemented.
We still don't have anything really interesting in Home like an actual night club or skate park or basketball court. The 3rd party spaces are ok but they're so limited, after a 5 minute walk through or a few mini games, it's a bore.
If Sony wants Home to be relevant, then stop over promising and under delivering. Give us what you said you would for starters.

@Striderhayasa - Can we get some damn m/kb support?!: While the lack of a trophy room (or anything trophy related) doesn't make any sense, everything else was probably left out because they saw a huge potential for sploits.
I can just imagine it now - showing up in Home and having someone shout "WHO WANTS TO WATCH 'WEAPONS OF ASS DESTRUCTION'?" And of course, even though the EULA clearly states no one under 18 can use Home, someone will. And then their mom will catch them. And then the headlines will read "Sony is corrupting our youth with PlayStation Home!"
1) Home is a little lifeless. I wouldn't mind seeing the world change a bit, like it having its own weather and changing time of day.
2) Also, I'd like to be able to have a pet. Maybe even the EyePet which linked in directly to the EyePet game. I want it to live in my apartment and I want to be able to take it for walks and meet other EyePet owners.
3) An option to stream trailers in the cinema in HD and in full screen. YouTube have HD. Why can Home have the option?
3) Custom soundtrack support. Maybe my avatar could have his own Sony Walkman.
4) A Kotaku Home Space.
5) I want to watch real SingStar players sing karaoke in the SingStar place.
6) A PSP Home space.
7) I'd like it to be a little more linked to the real world. Maybe have internet radio as an option.
8) Less robotic avatars. Better physics.
9) Home unlocks that unlock things in-game.
10) Also stream big events, like E3, live. If IGN/Gamespot can do it, why can't it be done on Home? Now that would be an awesome community event.
11) The Star Trek event, although a nice idea, was lame. I was expecting maybe a massive Enterprise floating above Home Square; some kind of big event. Instead we got the trekkie running man line.

I would love 'E3 2010' to have it's own space and to be honest, I thought that was what Sony were aiming towards when the first showed us it. Don't get me wrong, it was cool watching them 3 days later lol, but by then it was too late and the constant reloading buggy.
The night and day/weather is something they could at least apply to outside your apartment. It's always so sunny.
