They're probably the most horrifically rendered interpretations of the classic Capcom fighters you'll ever see. So, download, print them out and give them to someone you despise. I highly recommend the horribly disfigured Chun-Li for the most deplorable Valentine in your life. He or she will surely thank you with a slap. Thanks and Happy Valentine's Day to reader Chris for the pointer.

<![CDATA[ Pokemon Valentines, Now With Razor Blades ]]> When one Floridian woman picked up some Pokemon valentines at her local Dollar General, her son spotted something peculiar sticking out from the bundled lollipops: razor-sharp chunks of box-cutter blades. Luckily he noticed the metal protrusion before he handed a lollipop to his sister for her tongue to go all Bulbasaur.

I'd always laughed at the warnings of razor blades in candy. But I guess that, yes, some people do hate children, or at least Pokemon, that much.

<![CDATA[ Nintendo, Won't You Be My Valentine? ]]> Fact: Mario is the master of love. Sure, his relationship with the Princess sometimes feels more innocuous than passionate—and the whole Bowser infatuation certainly kinks up the confusing sexual undertones—but no matter what the circumstance, he always wins back the Princess against overwhelming odds. So why not celebrate Valentine's with some free Nintendo valentines? From 4 Color Rebellion, these charming notes will only cost you some color ink or a few seconds of copy/pasting into an email. Beecause really, what potential lover can resist a good "bee" pun?

<![CDATA[ Clip: A Raving Rabbid Valentine ]]> And here you thought a holiday was going to go buy with out those rascally rabbids making an appearance. Ubisoft continues to deliver the festive insanity, this time focusing on the ineffectiveness of a plunger as a wooing instrument.

Yep, the plunger definitely delivers mixed signals, though it always seemed to work for Mario. Happy Valentine's Day, and take heart...it's almost over. ]]>

<![CDATA[ My Ninty Valentine: VG Cats Wins ]]> wrightlove.jpgThe battle was long and hard, but the war of the custom Nintendo valentine's day cards has come to a close. It was a grueling competition, despite none of the entrants actually being aware that there was one. The opening salvo was fired by Play-Nintendo, who came close to triumph with their Midna entry. Then came 4 color rebellion, who took a more heartfelt stance. Then there was VG Cats. In order to preserve your job and possibly mine, I'm kicking it past the jump.

It's amazingly disturbing, while at the same time adorable. It is the very essence of what Valentine's Day is all about. What loved one wouldn't adore being on the receiving end of such heartfelt sentiment? Hit the VG Cats page for more, including the Phoenix Wright one you see top right, and a couple probably safer alternatives to Kirby's insatiable appetite for...love.

Cards! Though I don't recommend using any of them [VG Cats].

<![CDATA[ Otaku Valentine's Day ]]>

Japanese Valentine's Day is backwards. Unlike the Western holiday, men do not give women chocolates, but vice-versa. A month later, males return the favor by giving women chocolates on White Day. Check out Japundit's interesting article detailing the holiday. The kicker: nothing quite says romantic like online RPG Ragnarok chocolate (pictured above) or naughty anime (after the jump).

<![CDATA[ More Cheap-Ass Valentine's Day Cards ]]> I'm not talking about CheapyD and crew, I'm talking about you and your inability to prepare for the most commercial of holidays, Valentine's Day. Celebrate the day of overwhelming significant-other guilt, with no real merit, gamer procrastination-style. Is it clear yet that I'm single and angry?

The good Nintendorks at 4 Color Rebellion, whose Web site at time of press was down, put together some nice V-Day cards for you, as we mentioned earlier. Unfortunately, only one was salvageable in the heavy traffic massacre, and hosted by Waxy.org, king of bandwidth. Hurry up and print these things out before you wind up empty-handed!

Your more hardcore boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, husband, guild leader, or Hitomi statue may appreciate some of the offerings from Beavotron, which include beautiful renditions of Warcraft and Katamari faves — plus catchy lovey catchphrases!

<![CDATA[ Colossial Valentine's Day ]]>

Found over at the Insert Credit forums and apparently inspired by Wanda and Colossus. Am I insane or is this strangely romantic?

Update: This work was created by Alexandria Neonakis from Beavotron.

<![CDATA[ How To: Paint Yer DS Pink, Pink, Pink ]]>

Boy, this is neat. New Jersey resident and 35mm film fan inajamaica has taken apart his DS and repainted it hot pink. He's even Flickred the entire process: from the disassembly to the masking the primer up to the second coat. He plans to have the entire project finished by February 12th. Just in time for V-Day? No clue. Fellow D.I.Y. types feel free to crib notes.
