WTF EPIC! the trophies aren't retroactive? Jeez...what does Incognito know that you guys don't? Warhawk's trophies were retroactive...some of this shit in UT3 I've already done and my stats show it. Why not give up the damn trophy?
I can't complain too much thought, as least I have m/kb support :)
@kwkwyjib0: Meh, I think it's all about which one you started with. I started with Trophies, so I think getting Achievements would be a waste of time. If you started with Achievements, I could see you thinking the same way about Trophies.
@Elbows_of_Fury: well, it's better than UT99 and UT2k3 but UT2k4 added so much content that UT3 just didn't match. But I will say this though...even with limited support the PS3 version of UT3 has a lot of user content available. PC faithfuls can sneer at it because it pales in comparison to 2k4 but console gamers....it's all gravy for them.
@Gerardo Rodriguez Reyes: you're probably using an old build... there's some pretty stable re-releases of action cam available on the epic forums... (though you shouldn't use them if you have a large character like one of the krall as you can't see shit!)
@SACRE BLEU !!: I second that. I picked up UT3 last weekend (B2G1 at Gamestop, got it for free), but was bummed to see no split-screen. This is definitely a huge plus.
@BossVersion1: Yeah, I just updated it earlier and noticed the split-screen option. Awesome. Unfortunately, have some work to do before I can really tear into it, but just hearing that Unreal Tournament music made me hungry for it.
@RyderJ: With the mod browser and splitscreen coming to PS3, UT3 is officially the best FPS game on the PS3. Seriously, if people saw what you could do with this thing...
I hinted at this in another thread, but I'll put it out here for everyone.
It's almost like it seems to be a joint effort between Epic and Valve here - Epic puts in all this work, full integration into Steamworks, a free weekend, a killer 40% off sale, and it gets to try to rebuild a fanbase for UT 3 and gets people real interested.
But imagine if sales spike through the roof, Valve can use this as ANOTHER selling point on Steam.. basicially the fact Steam took a game that wasn't so hot initially, fully integrated into Steam and used all the tricks from Valve's playbook, and came back with a TON of sales.
This is win / win for both companies, I believe. I can only imagine Valve will use the huge sales spike in UT 3 to trumpet the benefits of Steam, Steamworks, and sales to other publishers.
@detto: Hahahahahaha UT2k3 was better than UT2k4?! What dimension are you living in. UT2k3 was absolutely dead until UT2k4 breathed new life into the franchise. UT3 just ruined it all due to lack of proper Conquest mode that got replaced by the awful Warfare mode. Your comparison is unfortunately incorrect.
@abort_user: I got it during the holiday sale for $9.99 and it was worth it. The Physx mod, playing locally with my friend and 30 bots was fun and the campaign guaranteed about 10 hours of gameplay. I never found a lot of servers online but it has jumped dramatically this week because of the update.
Now would be the best time to buy since servers will have people for at least the next week.

Hopefully they will add the "Action Cam" to the list of mutators you can use, since right now that mutator crashes the game
