    I had an Atari, even though I'm 25 that was my first console and it introduced me to videogames. I Loved it! Thank god a cousin of mine has one working and he is going to give it to me! HELL YEAH!! ATARI PWNS!

    I guess I wasn't that big a gamer with my 2600. I don't remember my hand ever hurting. Maybe I just held it different? I mean, I used to play Yar's Revenge for hours on end. I played River Raid long enough to get a score high enough for a patch from Activision. I flipped the score on Space Invaders. My step-brother and I played marathon sessions of Combat. I actually did pretty good at ET. Never any blisters. Never any cramps.

    @Eltigro: I know many people maintain deathgrips on their controllers at all times, and I would assume people had the same issue with this joystick back in the day. Proper joystick usage is a much

    @Eltigro:

    My problem with the 2600 controller is that my hands are kind of small, so the joystick hand has to stretch

    @cfive: I held the joystick itself with my right index finger kind of curved around the top and the thumb pushing on the opposite side. The right side of my palm kind of resting on the blocky part. My left hand just held the left side with the last digit of my thumb held up over the button.

    I've heard of people who used their palm to move the joystick, like they were hold their hand flat over the top of the joystick with the tip of it sticking into their palm. I can see that causing a blister in the palm and I have played games like Mrs. Pac-Man like that, but I never held the 2600 controller like that.

    So, yeah, I wouldn't mind having one if there were some games that were playable with it.

    Nostalgia effect is nice, but I fail to see the purpose of this. Do people still play Atari emulators?

    @mrwumasta: How else are they supposed to play River Raid? Some day I'll earn that iron-on patch they long ago stopped sending out.
