For the love of god! When are these B and C tier developers going to realize that their chances of launching a successful MMO are non-existant?! Fat Princess may look pretty good, and sure they have some development talent, but all the odds are stacked against them. Wouldn't gamers as a whole be better served if these developers were focused on their own more original gameplay concepts instead of aping Blizzard for a chance at the pie? Even Bioware, who has one of the best track records in the industry, is setting themselves up to fail with their new MMO. Think of ten failed MMOs from the last two year (shouldn't be too hard) and think of what might have happened had they used all that creative potential to make something original offline or single player even.
Funny thing about this post is it was first posted on ps3fanboy.com adn i dont see a link linking to their story like you have on most other posts you take form oter places. I can promise you this was first posted on ps3fanboy so please just give them their credit since it was their story first.
Third world outsourcing: helping the rich countries get richer (and devoid of skilled workers); helping a few people in poor countries get rich by exploiting a skilled work force willing to accept low salaries.
@Pazu: Actually.. the Skilled work force in 'poor countires' don't exactly accept low salaries. Their PPP adjusted salaries are much higher than what the same skills fetch in the US. $1500 per month might seem like very less to someone living in the US, but it's definitely a very good salary to draw in said 'poor countries'
I'd say I'm disappointed that it's not out this year, but with so many games that already need to be played within the next months, it's not that big of a deal. 2009 is looking better and better.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I wonder if anyone at Blizzard ever thought that same thing about Everquest when they were working on WoW.

Anyone got any superglue? That'll teach me to comment when I'm a cup of coffee short of my usual dose.
I guess I meant if FP was an uncaricatured FPS... that'd be weird to see.
