Games like Arkanoid, Bomberman and Pac-Man have their own UNIQLO threads.

The latest UNIQLO TV spot makes a not so subtle reference to new line of game clothes. There's also Ken the Eagle from Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, who's appearing on UNIQLO anime shirts and starred in Capcom fighter Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

<![CDATA[Metal Gear Solid 4 Shirts Sneak Out]]> Metal Gear Solid 4 the game wasn't the only MGS thingy that went on sale today. As previously posted, Japanese clothing chain Uniqlo also is putting MGS shirts up for sale. Writes reader Christian:

They didnt look as good as I'd hoped, but found two designs that I'd wear.

Better than finding two designs you wouldn't wear!

<![CDATA[If You're In Seattle or NYC This Week ...]]> • Redmond, Wash.: Microsoft's looking for playtesters and though it's not saying what for, pretty good bet it's Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. The testing begins Friday (the 13th!) and runs through the following Monday. Participants must be US citizens with a SSN, 18 to 45 years old, and enjoy virtual life sim games, of course. You'll get snax, meals, a comfy chair and can choose five items from a free gratuity list. (One is a copy of Vista, if you like to be punished for volunteer work.) Those interested should email uccoordATmicrosoftDOTcom with "Life Simulation" in the subject header, and name and phone number somewhere in the message.

• New York: On Thursday, Hideo Kojima will be signing autographs for the first 300 (cue Internet memes) through the door at the debut of UNIQLO's limited edition Metal Gear Solid 4 shirts. He will also be joined by Yumi Kikuchi, who portrays Raging Raven in the game. The site is UNIQLO USA's Global Flagship Store, 546 Broadway in Manhattan, 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday June 12. Autographs are first-come, first-served. If you miss the signature, of course you can buy one of the T-shirts, which is the whole point of the event.

<![CDATA[Take A Look At Uniqlo's New MGS4 Shirts]]> Announced during the MGS4 party earlier today, Konami have teamed up with Japanese label Uniqlo to release a range of snazzy new MGS shirts. There are six designs to choose from, with each design coming in two colours, for a grand total of twelve shirts you can view on the internet, dream of buying then - whether due to lack of finances or lack of Japanese language skills - never buy.

<![CDATA[UNI-QLO + Final Fantasy Artist]]>

Besides low prices, UNI-QLO does offer nice t-shirts thanks to the big name talent it ropes in. Take Final Fantasy and Vampire Hunter D character designer Yoshitaka Amano, who created this above shirt just for UNi-QLO. It might not be to everyone's tastes, but it's still very cool of UNI-QLO to bring in actual names artists to design its tees — at, like I said, a low price for consumers.
