If you want to do this cheaply with a non-purple chair, the keyword is "tactile transducer." They're basically a subwoofer coil without a cone or box.

I have a "Bass Shaker" type mounted to the underside of an office chair, driven from a 75W sub amp at my PC, and I keep it turned down pretty low because it's well capable of rumbling so hard it's exhausting and disorienting!

It really kicks ass in the Burnout games because you really feel the *thump*whoooooshhhhhhhhhh* when you boost! Of course it's great for explosions. It can be nice for music too, but you really have to exercise restraint since it's easy to overdo it!

Stay calm everyone! Microsoft will handle this!

Expect several movie studios to be purchased within the next few hours!

Not trying to sound like an ass but how can this in any way add more to the experience? I mean sitting in a sofa with the speakers cranked on high would serve the same purpose no? If you need the Sonic imagery that badly I suggest printing one out and enlarging it.

Unless their "Full-Body Sensory Experience" means something else then I'm in! =D

Sit on Sonic for a "full-body sensory experience"? Four high-impact vibrating motors??

My mind's stuck in a gutter and I can't get it out.
