Turtle Rock's Left 4 Dead is, in a word, boneriffic. Every time the developer releases new footage, especially direct feed footage, I'm forced to watch, re-watch and post. The wait for 2008, alongside some 21st century PC hardware upgrades, is ever more unbearable with this new, crazy, brief clip. Who wants to join my Left 4 Dead clan next year?!

<![CDATA[Left 4 Dead Co-ops QuakeCon '07 Appearance]]> Valve tipped us off today to let us know that Turtle Rock Studios' latest game Left 4 Dead will be on hand at QuakeCon 2007, scheduled to go down August 2nd through the 5th in Dallas, Texas. The co-op shooter will be playable by attendees with Turtle Rock staffers on hand to help ease you into the world of freeing hordes of zombies from their reanimated corpses courtesy of high-powered firearms.

The four-player, first-person shooter is due to hit Xbox 360s and PCs in the fourth quarter of 2007. QuakeCon attendees will have a rare opportunity to go toe-to-toe with the game before it ships/is delayed to 2008. Way better than showering, for sure.

<![CDATA[Left 4 Dead Gameplay On PC Gamer]]> PC Gamer has the first gameplay video of Turtle Rock Studios' Left 4 Dead, the four-player co-op survival horror game built on Valve's Source engine. Their video podcast shows the editorial team taking on some Valve staffers in a humans versus infected match. The first-person team shooter looks like a more frenzied take on the Resident Evil: Outbreak series or, if you prefer, Counter-Strike with zombies. Left 4 Dead looks to add some interesting elements to the genre—like the ability to rescue your fallen teammates—and looks extremely intense. Like surfing down a lava flow from a pack of rabid lava wolves while "Doing The Dew" intense.
