I... *sigh* can't imagine this conversation without the Kerrigan vocals I've come to appreciate. I feel like I'm twelve begging mommy for a candy bar or to go visit a family member across the nation, but...

I just wish there could have been a Saving Lieutenant Kerrigan option in the campaign---I've loathed the "Emperor" for oh, eleven years at this point as a result of that little stunt. Oh, to reverse the Zerg process and have a chipper Ghost back on your team.
Tricia Helfer for the win, though. She's got a good voice and apparently is good at being a voice actress. I suppose I'm sold on this game as soon as it comes out.

All the rumors and uncertainty over the past few months have had me very nervous. I mean at one time they were talking about replacing Robert Clotworthy as the voice of Raynor... I just couldn't imagine anyone other than him voicing one of my favorite video games heroes of all time.
It will probably be mentioned repeatedly but the fact that Kerrigan has been changed so much by becoming part of the swarm partially excuses the change in her voice.
I cannot wait until they announce a release date

Really, all I know Helfer as is Number Six from BSG. If her performance is half as good as on that show, then I'm seriously stoked for voice work in this game.

Can anyone tell me why Robert Clotworthy and James Harper would be returning as Jim Raynor and Arcturus Mengsk but Glynnis Talken Campbell not returning as Kerrigan? Earlier article quotes her as saying Blizzard decided to go another direction with the Kerrigan character but was there an official reason I missed?

Your comment was personified by that Blizzcon panel. When the internet found out that Glynnis would not be repeating her role as Kerrigan there was RAAAAGE.
So, I am watching the Blizzcon stream and I say to myself "no matter who walks out onto this stage they are going to get their asses booed off" but then... its freaking Caprica 6 from BSG. And of course no one Boos, some people even clap.
What is the moral of this story? Hot chicks win.
Official reason you ask? Tricia Helfer is a beloved sci-fi hot lady and does great voices. And Metzen wanted the opportunity to spend lots of time with her and try and get in her pants. (Okay maybe that isn't official.)
