It's interesting to think about.. it's something that probably wouldn't be an issue just a few years ago. So maybe games are evolving a little bit after all? :)

Odd coincidence, that pretty obscure game (at least to me - but I played maybe 3 occidental console games during the 16-bit era) was mentioned in the comments of the news about these fan made recreation of Jordan commercials.
That said, these podcasts are pretty interesting because all in all there are not that many outlets that talk about game design. Having game designers talk about the things they try to balance, the way they tackle problems, what they try to achieve, etc, even if it is not in great depth (the format does not allow it), is very refreshing and informative.

ANNOUNCER UPDATE!

Perhaps not both classes will be updated. What I mean by that is, in order to not throw off balance, the community chooses which of the two classes receives the update, and the other doesn't, based on items that valves presents in the form of another Saxton Hale comic?

But that seems a bit extreme.

Now... how about Kenzan? twice this year I almost imported Kenzan and 3 only to be stopped by localization rumors.

To play hundreds of shitty games for their achievements to hit some arbitrarily high number?
That sounds like torture to me.

I've got a buddy with a gamefly subscription, soley for getting achievements. Occassionally he tries to drag me into boosting for him. More often then not on some shitty game I'm terribly uninterested in. After about two years of telling him no, I think he's FINALLY starting to get the idea I don't two shits about achievements.
So yea, it is torture and all for a silly number.
