Week in Games: Beautiful Katamari Edition
My game purchases this week will be woefully small as not only am I staying with a friend in NYC who is a non-gamer and therefore has no consoles, but I am leaving on Wed. for LA to go to E for All. But one thing I will definitely be picking up is Beautiful Katamari just so I can hold it in my hand and wish I could play it. What's on your must have purchase list this week? More » -

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground Demo Hits Live
With EA's Skate for the Xbox 360 heading to retail shelves tomorrow, Activision has gone ahead and put a playable demo of Tony Hawk's Proving Ground up on Xbox Live Marketplace for your enjoyment. Measuring up at a hefty 1.08GB, the demo allows you to tour Philadelphia and try out some of the latest installment's new moves. With both a Skate demo and this one now available, it is time to see which flavor of next-gen skateboarding you favor. Me? I'm still firmly in Tony's camp, having been relatively unimpressed by Skate's flickit control scheme. Your results may vary. More » -

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, Incredible Video Creation and Erection Hoodies
Activision gave me a lengthy rundown of Tony Hawk's proving ground here in Leipzig, Germany (Europe). I didn't get my hands on the game, but got a really nice tour of the new features, like the promising personal skate park creation, which can be shared with your friends in online multiplayer. But I'm not going to run through all of it. Instead we're focusing on what I consider the two most incredible innovations: a powerful video creation tool and hoodie physics that resemble Jabba the Hutt's stiffy (not that we'd know). More » -

Guitar Hero III 360 Demo With Tony Hawk
Well if this doesn't sell Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, nothing will. Activision has announced that the Xbox 360 version of Tony Hawk's latest magical skateboard adventure will ship on October 9th with a five song demo of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. The same demo will be hitting Xbox Live two weeks later, but 14 days sure is a lot of missed practice time, isn't it? The demo will take place on the Desert Rock Tour stage and will include the floowing tracks: More » -

THPG's Career Skater Class
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground introduces the concept of character classes to the Tony Hawk universe, allowing you to follow the path of a career, hardcore, or a rigger, all of which I went into some detail on in my E3 eyes on last month. Activision just released this video profiling the abilities of the career skater, who strives for fortune, fame, and sponsorship. Assuming this means will be getting two more of these before the game hit stores in October, which is good because out of the three classes the career skater seems the most boring. -

Once More Into The Breach, Tony Hawk
Yearly updates to the Tony Hawk videogame skating franchise continue, as Activision has announced the latest in the series, Tony Hawk's Proving Ground. How will gamers flog the equine corpse with this entry? By focusing on character customization and the (ew) lifestyle aspects of professional skateboarding. Tony Hawk's Cribs? Sounds like it.
