The Sasori Akatsuki thumb ring is one of two separate exclusives that GameStop is featuring for the November release of Clash of Ninja Revolution 3, available to anyone who preorders the regular $39.99 version of the game online or in-store. Fans that'd rather pass on the bling can opt for a special limited edition bundle of the game and a DVD of Naruto Shippuden The Movie for $10 over regular retail price.

"We are thrilled to offer consumers two fantastic value options when purchasing our game this holiday season," said Laura Yoshioka, director of consumer software at TOMY Corporation. "By offering a highly collectable Sasori ring as a pre-sell item for the standard version of the game, and including such a highly-anticipated movie DVD in our first ever Clash of Ninja limited edition, our goal was to offer Naruto fans a tremendous opportunity to add to their Naruto collection whatever their budget allowed."

Looking over the GameStop website, it does look like the ring is exclusive to the normal edition, not available with a preorder for the limited edition, so make your decision wisely!

<![CDATA[Clash Of Ninja Revolution 3 Got Moves]]> Naruto is all about the Jutsu, and Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 for the Wii has Jutsu to spare, to go along with the extremely long name.

Here are the signature Jutsu for key characters Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi, names I've become all too familiar with during my tenure at Kotaku. I've gone from Naruto virgin to slightly violated Naruto virgin in what seems like no time flat. It only stung a little.

Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 will be out on November 17th. Having been properly indoctrined, I have it on preorder.

<![CDATA[Dressing Up In Pangya PSP]]> Tomy takes us through some of the multifarious ways you can dress up your adorable anime golfers in the upcoming Pangya: Fantasy Golf for the PlayStation Portable.

It might be some sort of horrible disease I contracted while working security at local anime conventions many years ago, but for some reason I enjoy the game of golf so much better when I can dress up my golfer in all sorts of different outfits. They don't even have to be whacky outfits, as long as I have some control over how my golfer looks, and can earn new items of clothing through playing. Perhaps it has something to do with my utter incompetence at playing the actual sport...this way I feel I have some measure of control over an activity that otherwise involves me wildly swinging a stick about and hoping to avoid lawsuits.

<![CDATA[Even Goth Girls Enjoy Pangya: Fantasy Golf]]> The latest screens for the PSP version of Pangya: Fantasy Golf demonstrates how golf is a game for everyone, from goth girls to dragons to giant pandas.

Pangya: Fantasy Golf is one of those cutesy golf games that adds the adorable characters and dress-up opportunities sorely lacking in the real game of golf. Unless something truly amazing happens, the sport of golf usually isn't a very exciting spectator sport, save for those wired in a very particular way. If only the PGA would start allowing panda bears and dragons onto the field, or let the audience vote on what the golfers wear in between holes. Gold woul dbe the top-watched program on ESPN, E!, Bravo, and Animal Planet.

<![CDATA[Pangaya: Fantasy Golf Takes A Swing At The PSP]]> A fresh round of adorable fantasy golf is hitting Sony's handheld this summer, as Tomy announces a North American release for Pangya: Fantasy Golf for the PlayStation Portable.

Based on the massively multiplayer golfing game Pangya, developer Ntreev brings the cutesy golf acton to the small screen, following relatively successful outings on the Nintendo Wii as Super Swing Golf 1 & 2. The game features the nine fantasy golf courses of Pangya Island, 18 adorable little golfers, and more customization options than you can shake a 9-iron at. Aside from golf, one of the main draws of Pangya is tricking out your characters in all sorts of freaky accessories, and the PSP version boasts thousands of unlockable accessories, outfits, and pieces of equipment to help build the strange little golfer lurking inside all of us.

The game also features several single player modes, from story mode to tournaments, along with single and team multiplayer tournaments for up to 8 players.

As a fan of Sony's Hot Shots Golf PSP series, I eagerly welcome any game that allows me to play dress up with anime golfers.

<![CDATA[Tomy's My Do It All Nearly Makes Your DS A PDA]]> Tomy's My Do It All for the Nintendo DS further punctuates the possibilities of the handheld as a viable personal digital assistant, while staying on the safe side of the application versus toy line.

The Nintendo DS needs a day planner application. There are plenty of homebrew options out there, but for those of us not willing to go that route there's only been Hello Kitty Daily so far, and I'm pretty sure I fall outside of the target demographic. Tomy's My Do It All, due out in February for the DS, brings the DS as PDA concept closer to fruition, though still tries to be a fun toy for kids, allowing them to chat and change voices while they play multiplayer mini-games wirelessly. It looks handy, but still not quite what I am looking for.

I want a reason to buy a Nintendo DS for my mother. Or my stepfather. Personal Trainer: Cooking is a good start, but with the functionality of the DS we really need a good line of serious applications marketed towards adults. My Do It All shows us that the functionality is there. Let's take it a step further.

<![CDATA[Naruto: Ninja Destiny Looking Fine]]> You hardly ever see Nintendo DS trailers at the correct resolution, do you? Developer Tomy worked hard to make the U.S. release of Japan's Naruto: Shinobi Retsuden smoother, prettier, and an overall better experience, and they want to make sure that comes through in the video. From what I've seen of the retooled Naruto: Ninja Destiny they've done a fine job. Unfortunate that they choose my two least favorite characters to show it off, but I suppose Rock Lee and Spooky Sand Guy are better than nothing. Yeah, I know he has a name. Sandy or something. I'm slowly warming to Naruto - don't push me.]]> http://kotaku.com/index.php?op=postcommentfeed&postId=352315&view=rss&microfeed=true <![CDATA[Tomy Brings Improved Ninja Destiny In February]]> Quite surprising for an anime license, the Naruto series has spawned some really excellent games both in the U.S. and Japan, though the Japanese release of Naruto: Ninja Destiny as Naruto: Shinobi Retsuden was pretty mediocre, with a crawling frame rate, poor graphics, and an extremely limited cast of characters. Rather than release the same crap stateside secure in the knowledge that Leaf Village headband wearing fans everywhere would buy it anyway, developer Tomy went and fixed it first.

"We've listened to the fans and made a slew of improvements to the Japanese original, including a much faster frame rate, additional characters, and never-before-seen content," said Laura Yoshioka, director, consumer software of TOMY Corporation.
The 3D fighter now boasts an impressive 16 different characters, with storylines up to the 140th episode of the anime, which I am about 80 episodes away from seeing currently. The new and improved Naruto: Ninja Destiny will be in stores next month. Much love to Tomy for going above and beyond for the U.S. release!

<![CDATA[D3 and Tomy's Shhhhedule]]>

D3 and Tomy just sent over their plans for next week's Comic Con. The companies will have a lot to look at including Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire, Naruto: Path of the Ninja and Ed, Edd 'n Eddy.

Other games on site will include Dark Sector, Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution, Ben 10: Protector of Earth and Dead Head Fred. They will also have some artists and writers on hand, though I'm not sure if that's for the Comic Con or just their party.

Coolest part? They're going to be transporting press from the Comic Con to their party via "Naruto pedi-cabs."

<![CDATA[Naruto RPG on DS]]>
The first Naruto RPG in North America wil be in the form of a Nintendo DS game and it is planning to arrive this Fall. TOMY and D3Publishers of America announced yesterdat that the game based on the popular Japanese animated series (I don't know anyone who watches it in the States, but I'm sure there are some post-Yu-Gi-Oh fans who have globbed onto it) will feature new original content and scenarious that have never been seen before.

Choosing from six available characters, players will be able to explore the Village Hidden in the Leaves and the world of Naruto as you roam across forests, fields, rivers and mountains. Along the way players will encounter bosses and enemies that they must use their special techniques to defeat.

I guess the Nintendo "Summer of Fun" has to end sometime.

<![CDATA[Tomy Blames Nintendo]]> tomypiece.jpg

Japanese maker of all things electronic and crap is blaming Nintendo for a deep, deep cut in its annual net profit forecasts, which dipped by two thirds.

Tomy said sales of character goods and card games for boys were sluggish in Japan, in large part because of the success of Nintendo's DS handheld game device and the next-generation Wii game console, which stole demand for traditional toys.

Ya it has nothing at all to do with their toys being mostly, you know, crap.
