Jump In the jacket and information on your ass?
Come on at least give them some sort of headgear that says info. Info on your ass is just gah. Then again they know where people will look but still.
The star on the shirt sleeve sort of like a police/military ranking isn't bad though.
@WhatTheFrag: The question mark points out that the girls know guys are staring down there, despite the fact that they couldn't possibly be expecting any gaming-related information to come out of there.
For a company that's so often accused of failing to get the Japanese market/culture, this sounds like a very smart move and philosophy... good job, guys!
Also, scarves certainly seem popular, lol... I'd imagine the AC in a place like that is pretty chilly too though.
They are very cute, and the scarves are adorable. But it's a little contradictory to say "we want them to be comfortable," and then have the uniform be worn unbuttoned like that.
Nice feature, this one. Making women dress scantily in the name of attracting young men (the chief gaming demographic) was a smart move from a business perspective, but it sure didn't help women overcome the misogynist "sex object" stereotype. Not like this will enlighten many men to the fact that women aren't things to be acquired (or "scored"), but at least Microsoft is showing some consideration for its booth staff beyond treating them like mere capital investment.
I really appreciate the social consciousness that Kotaku has been showing with its features lately. Not only does it show awareness on the editors' parts, but I get to see a bigger picture taking shape within the industry itself. It gives me hope that, like those interviewed in the recently posted video on games journalism, the industry as a whole is indeed maturing.
@cb_32: It's not completely uniform, but is uniform in the same vein as seifuku in that you have different color combinations and related attire that you are authorized to wear with the core uniform or uniform parts. It's customizable, and that's what makes it so slick. Who woulda thought that Microsoft, of all comanies, would be the one to try to revolutionize the booth campanion (still can't get used to that terminology) attire standard.

When is that going to be published?

Coordinator: "Here ladies, here are your outfits!"
Men: "What do we wear?"
Coordinator: *Looks around, finds a few shirts from a few years ago* "You can wear these. You may have to wash them though..."
Men: "Um.. Thanks?"
