<![CDATA[Playing God Is The Shirt Of The Game We Wish Existed]]> I'm not normally the biggest fan of Threadless tees. But this one? This one I'm down with. It's not new, no, but it seems to have gone by largely unnoticed, which is a shame. The world has plenty of "God" games, not nearly enough God games.

<![CDATA["8-Bit Investigation" Shirt Is Worth Investigating]]> "8-Bit Investigation" is among the more clever pixel art designs we've seen in some time. A tribute to Sierra's adventure games gone by, the shirt explores the aftermath of one character's graphic (pun definitely intended) fall from a building. From the splattered pixels on the pavement to the pixel puking in the background, it's another one of those almost obnoxiously cute designs that the Threadless community is known for. $20, but I wish it came in other colors than gray.

<![CDATA[Steampunk Space Invaders Tee Ready To Invade Your Closet]]> The Space Invaders inspired design that we posted about late last year has become an official Threadless item, ready to be snapped up by t-shirt fans with an extra $15 (or $17, for the ladies) in their pockets. Putting me in poppy orange is like putting me in madras, so I'll be passing, but retro fans with an eye for steampunk may find it suitable enough. Everyone else seemed to like it at the time, so a link to the online haberdasher is provided below.

<![CDATA[Hey, Look, It's Another Threadless Video Game Shirt]]> The design community at Threadless has approved yet another video game themed design, this one based on classic block dropper Tetris. Actually, it could very well be based on Technos' Block Out, a three dimensional take on the genre that was a personal favorite during my arcade employment duties. Anyway, back on topic, the design "I Hate Packing" is ready for your buying pleasure with Threadless listing all sizes as having "plenty in stock." It's cute, as are all things Threadless.

<![CDATA[The Steampunk Space Invaders Tee]]> Being the t-shirt freak that I am, I always promise myself that I will stop buying them so that I don't fill yet a second chest of drawers. But, inevitably one comes along that you can't resist and this would fall into that category for me. Artist etherbrian has posted his steampunk space invader design "Interloper From Beyond The Heavens" up for votes on Threadless and it's still got about six more days left to rack up enough points to get it printed. Amazingly awesome.

<![CDATA[Tanooki Suit Mario Tee on Threadless]]> It always disappoints me when I see a really great t-shirt on Threadless and then come to the realization that it probably won't get made due to copyright issues. Such is the case with this awesome Tanooki Suit Mario t-shirt that arrived on Threadless a few days ago and is currently up for voting. Extra points for Mario eating out of a garbage can with his fellow tanuki brothers. Super extra points for not including the frighteningly oversized testicles that tanuki's are traditionally drawn with.

Vote for it here! [Threadless]

<![CDATA[At Least Threadless Love E For All]]> Community t-shirt vendor Threadless is no stranger to video game collaborations/sponsorships. They've held design contests centered around themes like PaRappa the Rapper, LocoRoco and Bioshock—and they ain't stoppin' now. Partnering with E For All for their latest competition, budding Illustrator users can win fabulous prizes, including a Wii, cold hard cashola, and tickets to the E For All expo.

So make with the puns and emo imagery, kids, and let's do this.

<![CDATA[Threadless Gets In On PaRappa T-Shirt Craze]]> Attention all budding Paul Frank wannabes! If you think you've got the t-shirt design chops to create the best PaRappa the Rapper tribute (specifically for shirts) head on over to Threadless with your copy of Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop primed and ready, then get crackin'. The PaRappa the Rapper Loves Threadless competition kicked off yesterday, just in time to promote the PSP remake, giving John Q. Designer an opportunity to show Paul Frank Industries exactly how it's done. Hurry, the contest ends August 16.

<![CDATA[Threadless Original Gamester Shirt]]>
Threadless and their endless supply of graphic tees... Once in a while you can find some real gems. Sure, this one is not as inspired as the fabulous Bioshock that turned up last month, but how can you hate it when the colors are so rainbowlicious? As far as printed black tees go, I'd put it in the closet rotation.

<![CDATA[Threadless Loves BioShock Winner]]> The winner of the BioShock <3's Threadless contest has been decided, with the democratically chosen design now available for purchase. Budi Satria Kwan's "The Leftover" is light on overt BioShock visual cues and heavy on mood.

If you're in the need of some videogame themed t-shirts at a budget price ($15 for guys, $17 for girls), sans painfully nerdy imagery, head over to Threadless with your credit card warmed up.

<![CDATA[Threadless Mario Tee Becomes Reality]]> That Threadless submission we posted about last month has been chosen as a winner by the ironic/funny t-shirt community and made into a real life product. Aled Lewis' "Keeping It Real", featuring a none-too-subtle reference to the Nintendo plumber, is now available for mass consumption at the low low price of $15 American for the boys, $17 for the girls.

<![CDATA[Mario On Crack!]]>

Ok, so he's not actually on crack, but a headline reading "See Mario's Crack" or any other such iteration didn't sound very enticing. And I want you to be enticed! Why? Because this has got to be one of the best video game related T-shirts I've seen on Threadless in a while and I want one! But, as you know, with Threadless, every vote must be counted before a shirt can be made. There's only two days left for voting on this design, so for my sake and yours, head over to Threadless and vote for this awesome shirt titled "Keeping It Real." Besides, what's a little crack between friends?

<![CDATA[Bioshock X Threadless Tee Contest]]> Community driven t-shirt house Threadless is holding its next "Loves Threadless" competition, this time partnering with 2K Games to drum up hype for upcoming shooter BioShock.

While tee submissions need not necessarily focus on Irrational Games' spiritual successor to System Shock 2, they must adhere to the contest theme "Descent into Rapture." Some BioShock imagery probably wouldn't hurt, though.

You have until April 1 to submit your work, budding t-shirt designers. Check out the full details over at Threadless.

I link Threadless a lot but come on, the wee, struggling graphic designers that submit their stuff there deserve those prizes. And we need better game shirts, always.

<![CDATA[Super Marius Velocipede]]>

Earlier I posted a Mario/Alice in Wonderland mashup teeshirt design intended for Threadless, but what I did not do was delve deeper into the other works by the same artist.

Here is one of a pair of Super Marius designs, both several months old at this point and unfortunately unvoteable. Neither of them made the finals and are not currently available on shirts, which is a pity.

Fortunately, and in no small part thanks to you readers, I bet, the design was voted a 3.12 which is usually good enough to get printed. I'll keep an eye out and post if it becomes available.

<![CDATA[Alice in Marioland]]>

I have several Threadless tees, and while their "girly shirts" are really not that girly (actual shape might be cool), I can forego a decent fit for the incredible artwork that goes into many of the designs.

This one was linked over on Destructoid and it's up for votes for only one more day. It's one of the most witty cultural mashups I've ever seen, and while the Alice is ripped directly from the original books, the guy is long dead and the visual vocabulary is much stronger with an authentic Alice in there.

<![CDATA[Threadless ]]> Hipster t-shirt site Threadless has kicked off their "Spread The Joy" contest, soliciting t-shirt designs with a LocoRoco flavor. Using the "Spread The Joy" tagline, contestants are asked to create a design that only incorporates the theme, but not necessarily the words, or apparently, anything LocoRoco related. Am I reading that right? I think I am!

Dust off that downloaded copy of Adobe Illustrator and get designin'! You have thirty days and three chances to win. The grand prize is a hefty one, including two PSP's, two copies of the game, free tees and $1500 cash. Nice!

<![CDATA[Threadless: Half-Blood Prince of All Cosmos]]>

Here's another Threadless design you all should vote for: a strange Katamari Damacy meets Harry Potter mash-up, "The Half Blood Prince of All Cosmos". Here's hoping the Prince is planning on rolling them all into a pit filled with glass and honey.

<![CDATA[The Donkey Kong Tee We'll Never See... In Real Life]]>

It's a shame that copyright laws exist, for they'll never let this fabulous tee see the light of day. Nay, no Fruit of the Loom 50/50 Best Tees with the above silk screened design will ever be stretched to their limits by the bellies of hundreds of Donkey Kong enthusiasts. Sad, really. The legal staff at NOA HQ would fire off a cease and desist to Skinny Corp faster than you can get your copy of Brain Age to recognize the word "blue".

But if you want to show your support for a very nice t-shirt design (I wish he'd redrawn DK, not used the sprite...), head on over to Threadless and vote for Brian's ode to classic Nintendo games and Kubrick's 2001.
