During the presentation, the "Life" was demoed for the audience for the first time — the service shows the Earth, and users can access current news and weather for locations around the world. It's possible to even pull up the full article from the headline. Users can also set background music while looking at the Earth, checking the weather and the world news. Click through pics below to see it in action.

This footage was taken at a recent SCE New Zealand press event. In the men's bathroom. It's...just...yeah.

<![CDATA[ Sony Employee Gets PS3-Themed Tattoo ]]> Another PS3 tattoo! Not as crappy! Still kooky! While man who goes by the handle MobileTone may be the first person with P53 PS3 inked on his bodice, that doesn't mean he's got the first PLAYSTATION 3-themed tat. It seems that SCEE Omar Siu claims that prize (lucky him) with his "This is Living" shoulder art. Fingers crossed he doesn't ever changed companies! He got the tattoo on December 22, 2007 — coincidentally, the same day that Omar apparently changed medication.

<![CDATA[ This Is Living (In Sydney) ]]>
I spent the weekend in Sydney with my wife. We were on our way to Paddington Market (a must see if you're visiting), when I noticed three buses with these gi-normous Ratchet & Clank Future/This is Living ads go by. They are the first Playstation 3 ads I've seen outside of television since I've been in Australia. Seems like a pretty good investment, though I'd like to see some for Uncharted as well.

<![CDATA[ Apparently, *This* Is Living, According To The PlayStation 3 ]]>

Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe hasn't decided to hook it's marketing wagon to a more reliable star, as its American counterpart has recently done. It's quite delighted to continue with creep-tastic imagery and poodle-enhancing analogies established by the This Is Living campaign. Games don't sell systems! Certainly not like lithe acrobats in vinyl pants do.

<![CDATA[ Sony's UberBooth, It's "The Shit" ]]> No, we aren't being cute with the headline. Along with bathtub seats and chandelier lighting, Sony is providing porcelain thrones for gamers to experience (among other sensations?) the PS3. Also of note: maybe it's due to their voluntary inclusion of bathrooms, but Sony's booth is easily twice the size of Microsoft's. Aside from the toilets, the ambiance is quite tasteful.

<![CDATA[ PS3 Meltdown ]]>

Sure, you've seen those zany "This is Living" PS3 spots. Here is the very NSFW uncut version — which contains nudity, masturbation and a whole lotta what-the-fuck. Something for everyone!

After the jump, bad acting as Cherry (AKA "PS3 Underwear Girl") gives a monologue in which she lambasts ripping other people off.

<![CDATA[ How To Make Confusing PS3 Ads ]]>

Remember those crazy "This is Living" PS3 ads for Europe? They hand a suitcase full of money, some Japanese dude, a poodle with a grenade and a girl on the toilet. What's worse than watching that? Watching the making of that.

No. Wait. The making of is actually more interesting — If you're able to overlook the clip's self-indulgent wallowing. At this point, I am. Just don't tell the actors those commercials made absolutely no sense whatsoever. It'll break their hearts.

<![CDATA[ New Freaky Deaky PS3 Site ]]>

Jane sent us a link to this freaky-deaky Playstation 3 site called This is Living.

It's basically one giant flash game that may or may not have secrets to impart. One this is for certain though, it's fun to roam around in. The site takes the shape of a hotel with lots of rooms, flash animation, weird sounds and pictures and no hard evidence, that I noticed initially, of which game or games it may be about.

Clicking on the Samurai sword, for instance, brings you to this fantastical meditation room where you can download a screensaver or click on a gong.

If you click on the gong you get sent to a room with a bunch of luggage and military gear stacked up in it. Clicking around gives you flashes of some gruesome photos and sounds and, in one case, a bunch of passport photos.

Man, I love this sort of advertising, but boy does it screw with my head.

Now get in there faithful Kotakuites and report back your findings pronto.

<![CDATA[ Clip(s): Endless This Is Living Wackiness! ]]>

Sure, sticking your hand in boiling water to pull out an egg is bad ass in a Blade Runner kind of way. But, not sure what it has to do with the PLAYSTATION 3. Then again, who does really? Hit the jump for a couple more zany "This is Living Ads." Yes, there are more. They breed.

Yup, the toilet girl gets HER OWN AD.

Thanks, Stephane!

<![CDATA[ This Is Living... Now With More Toilet Girl ]]>

In the follow up to the equally perplexing previous This Is Living spot—a marketing campaign we can't imagine appealing to the bacon butties crowd—you'll find no straight answers. Just a series of non-sequiters spoken from creepy actors and the thankful inclusion of CONSOUL covergirl in bra and panties on the crapper. Oh, Sony marketing. I just don't get you sometimes!

<![CDATA[ Clips: New Euro PS3 Ad Has Bikes! ]]>

First cups, now this. And this is better. Maybe I'm a sucker for BMX tricks or maybe it's the lady's classy accent, but I do like this latest Euro spot featuring Lair. Am I alone or just crazy?
