Quadrilateral Cowboy, a long-in-development hacking game from the brilliant designer behind Thirty Flights of Loving and Gravity Bone, hits on July 25. It’ll launch first on Windows, with Mac and Linux in September.
I played more games in 2012 than any other year of my life. It was a weird—but thoroughly wonderful—year, and one that upset a lot of my expectations. Games I'd assumed would be amazing fell short of the mark, while others came out of nowhere to become fast favorites.
I played a game that lasted only 10 minutes and it was glorious. It also cost me five bucks. Yes: I am saying that a game that amounts to one dollar per two minutes was worth the investment.
Look, I'm not gonna mince words here. If you own a PC, you owe it to yourself to play Gravity Bone. I don't want to tell you what it's all about, since the game is so short that even telling you the setup would give you information in the same amount of time that you could just experience it for yourself.
