Sure, PC Gaming's far from dead, but it's also not not dancing the Charleston as wantonly as she used to, and when the cute guys find out about the kids she has back home, she can see the panic in their eyes, and doesn't really put up much protestation when they find the first excuse to flee to look for partners with less baggage. Maybe long ago she'd have to go hide outside and cry when that happened, but now it's just par for the course.
She throws down a few too many cosmopolitans and finds some old fling from years ago to hook up with again for the night. The brief moments of hot passion with a new beau are so few and far between, but there's comfort to be found in familiar arms, even if it means she's no longer the talk of the town.

No matter what you say about Cities XL and Spore and all that "spiritual successor" bullshit, I want to see a propersequel to SimCity 4.
The community there for that game is AMAZING, still. o_o

Everyone who wants the game enough to pirate it should have got off their cheap arse and bought it. Don't come with all this "not a lost sale" rubbish it's as much bull as calling it a "victimless crime".
If you aren't that bothered about it then don't play it. If you are that bothered about it then go buy it.

Also you have to buy house sets, hair styles and everything because this game doesnt have much to it. Think the crappy 360 avatars with a lot less customization and rocing you to buy clothes and other things

Your thinking of the Sims 2. I miss that feature. I feel like I am playing Sims Bustin Out to be quite honest with you. Its like they updated the Sims 2 but stripped everything out.
Now I am not referring to the Sims 2 and its expansions but vannila Sims 2 which had a lot of clothes and options. You get few in this game

1) How do I go about unlocking the extra town/ content for her? Yes, I bought the game, but we installed it and I didn't see the option anywhere. Any help would be appreciated :)
2) As I was watching her, it seemed like the possibilities were endless. You can add a pattern or material or anything, and then change the colour.. I made the sim-me wear a gold plated shirt, and when the house was decorated, it fucking matched 0_o
Seems like a lot of options to me, but fuck, I haven't played the Sims since number 1, so maybe I'm just outta the loop.

And you've basically nailed the point on the clothing. It looks like fewer options because they only show a small number of options per 3d model of clothing, unlike Sims 2 where you'd have a dozen different identical but differently-colored outfits. You can then put whatever texture you want on that model, and then apply any color overlay to that texture, with an end result of probably millions of variations possible. The downside is that most of those millions of variations are hideous, and all this customization work is a lot more clicks than it feels like it should take to choose a t-shirt to wear.
Classic problem of balancing customization options versus complexity. But they do pretty well at keeping the interface simple until you delve into the customization part.
