Why not just get John DiMaggio with extensive makeup work done on him? It'd please the fans, I think, to have the original voice.

Why don't they just, y'know, make this an ANIMATED movie, hire the voice actors from the game, and do it that way? It's not like the story's going to be any good. It's Gears of War.

@Archaotic: Exactly! I feel that most action oriented video games would do better as an animated movie as opposed to live action. there is definately a lot more that could be done and everything would feel a lot more familiar. I just hope pop-ins wont make a cameo.

@goboard117: @Archaotic: I totally agree. I actually feel all game-movie adaptations need to be in CGI. It would remind you of the game more and share it's likeness and artistic style(albeit having better graphics and visuals and animation). with actors, a lot of the motions and actions you'd see from the character gets lost in translation.

that movie poster seriously had the best possible cast for a gears movie. Terry Tate as Cole train? Yes please. I cant really think of any other actors who would fit the characters.

I fully agree. For such a long awaited movie, it failed in every regard. The marketing was nil, too. I didn't even know it was out until I saw the DVD in a store, and I follow film releases pretty closely.

If they went in line with the novel's storyline, modified of course, it would have made a better movie.

As it was, it could have been better, but was passable entertainment.
