Or they can wait until after the demo comes out, that way sales of the demo disc won't be cannibalized by people who the battle system may or may not be turned off by the series' new direction. I seriously doubt they're going to show a NEW trailer, probably just a high res version of the one from DKS73713.

It's probably a countdown to opening the European site. This is Square Enix Europe, people. They're not going to announce anything of worth, except that MAYBE the game will hit Europe day and date with the US.

Why even bother with all the hype and marketing. There are only two types of people in regards to this game, those that already know they are buying it and those that aren't (because they hate JRPGs or hate awesome). There are no "on the fence" people when it comes to new Final Fantasy releases.

I was excited about getting it on my PS3 but I am triplely excited now that it is coming for my 360.

I have all 3 consoles yet I agree with Animexplorer and I call them traitors too! We should have XIII on PS3 only and now that we don't we have to wait EVEN LONGER to play it.

Level 5 just please bring White Knight Chronicles this year...and Sega, Yakuza 3. And I will forgive Squenix.

they're not traitors if they started out for nintendo, went to sony, and are now multiplatform. think about it this way. you have an item that you worked really hard on, and your going to sell it. would you sell it to one person and hope he gives you the money you feel you deserve? or sell it to two people and make the money you deserve and probably more.

besides traitor would only be applicable had they said "this is now exclusive for xbox 360." but it's just not exclusive anymore. so what? buy it on whatever console you want (im buying it for ps3, not 360) and talk about it with the guys on both your friends lists.

@dojita: i will repeat myself again. couple of things must be considered here:

1) FF13 will be limited by DVD technology (storage wise). what does that mean? no 1080p CG cut scenes, no extras, no 8.1 SS uncompressed audio.

2) PS3 version will be dumped down. why? no use of CELL technology, FF13 is developed on PC platform and then ported on PS3 and xbox 360 (we all know how that works out), no Killzone 2 awesomeness more like GTAIV syndrome

3) longer wait for the game to be released, because devs have to finish XBOX 360 version!

Square shit Enix publicly spits in the real FF (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,12) fan base faces. therefore, traitors suits them best.

I feel like people have been playing a different demo than I have. Much like the original skate's demo, I am hopelessly addicted to it, despite the time limits. It seems like the skating is improved, the new moves (like the handplant and hippy jump) seem well-thought out, and they give you an awesome little skatepark to test run through. Yeah, the walking is a little clunky, but it's not a game about walking, is it? Being able to get up stairs is a godsend, and the ability to move stuff around to your heart's content seems pretty sweet.

I cannot wait until next Thursday.
