Does the fact that a game plays on a system you don't own somehow impact the enjoyment you derive from playing it on a system you do own?

It was more from an organisational point of view rather than a gaming(?) view. I mean reading this after reading the 360 article was just like trying to play spot the difference.

I can see why Uncharted 2 is a superior cinematic experience, but I guess Miyamoto is right in that gameplay wins all. Or maybe I'm too much of an old school gamer.
Of course, Uncharted 2 is a must-have. Got MW2 a week after release, I've barely touched it (though my friends seem to love it) so I don't really know.
Fifa 10 is also an absolute must-have for football fans.
Another game I'm sad to not have seen here is RE5. One of the most visceral co-op experiences out there. So it's not a "good" RE game, so what? It's a good game on its own, and definitely worth owning. Unless you want to wait for the re-release next year.
Edit: Like many pointed out, Killzone 2 also deserves to be up there moreso than many titles imo.

I plan to market it to my family as a "HOME ENTERTAINMENT DEVICE" in order to cover funds. :P
Does anybody else out there have any other GOOD recommendations (in your opinion) for the PS3 in case of PSN titles, classic PS1 games, and PS3 games?

For PS1, theres a few good RPGs, Wild Arms, FF7.. there are some good action games like Resident Evil 2. Those are what I've picked up anyway.
I would add Valkryia Chronicles, Uncharted, Resistance series, Killzone to the list of PS3 games as well.

But only if you're hardcore. And I mean HARDCORE!
-Metal Gear Solid 4 (You can get 1, 2, and 3 for $30 at Gamestop)
-Grand Theft Auto IV (My favourite game on Next-Gen Platforms and probably of all time)
-LittleBigPlanet
-Oblivion: GOTY This will keep you entertained for months!
-Resident Evil 5, for some reason it didn't get AAA reviews (around 8.7) but I liked it and you don't need to have played the previous ones. NOTE: It is not scary at all. Buy it as an action game. If you're looking for a horror game you won't find it here.
-Ninja Gaiden Sigma, You could find it for $20 and its a pretty good game. Some people say its very hard. It is at times, but if its too much just die 3 times and the difficulty will lower.
PSN
-Wipeout HD + FURY expansion pack, By far in my opinion the best PSN Game. You can download the demo if you're not sure.
PSone
-Final Fantasy VII
-Metal Gear Solid (But buy all 3 at Gamestop and it comes out to the same price.)
-Silent Hill, this is real Horror.

If you have a 360 and played Geometry Wars, get Super Stardust HD. For my money, it's better.
Wipeout HD is my favorite racing game apart from Mario Kart EVER.
Uncharted 2 goes without saying. If you dont like it, youre an inhuman monster with no heart or soul. Or you just have bad taste in games, whatever.
Might as well get Uncharted 1 while youre at it.
Every PS3 owner should have Little Big Planet. if you like creating things, youll find it very enjoyable, the level and character editor is great and easy to use. Some of the user created levels are amazing. If you like just platforming, it'll probably only entertain you for a few weeks.
If youre not tied to Call of Duty by a noose, try Killzone 2. It has a fun singleplayer and a great multiplayer. To me it's the alternative to COD. If you LOVE CoD and you think its a 1000 better than halo, half Life, Team Fortress, Bioshock, Unreal Tournament put together, and every other FPS in existence.. youll probably hate the way KZ2 plays.
PSN has FF7, FFT, MGS1, RE1, RE2, Um Jammer Lammy, Castlevania: SOTN, and tons more PS1 classics. I just named the ones I have.

N+ (sure it's been out years but it's still one of the best games on the market and it never gets coverage)
Street Fighter IV was defo one of the better ones missing from the list. Other than that, I am struggling.
Still though, that's a rather impressive list of games (providing you pay out for xbox live, otherwise most of them are gonna be a big let down)
It's just a shame so many got delayed like Splinter Cell, man I can't wait for that game.

Still have a little tough time believing most people's partners and parents can spend 300+ dollars on a gift for anyone. But that's just cause I lack the funds to be most people.
