Bayonetta was just taking a few days off, and here's a picture i took of her on Monday as evidence...yeah she's loves to draw attention to herself.

So have some faith McWhertor, i'm sure that she will do better next week...hopefully ^_^ #thejapanesesoftwarechart

@Brodka: regrettably: It already has. VGChartz pegs FIFA 10's PS3 Japanese sales at 26,770 units over two weeks. I'd be disgusted if I didn't enjoy the irony as NFL2K found itself in a similar situation with Madden with all the reviews saying it was superior yet Madden getting all of the sales. #thejapanesesoftwarechart

It would be interesting how Bayonetta, Tekken 6, and Four Warriors of Light: Final Fantasy Gaiden will rank in next week's Media Create software chart. All three games debuted with strong sales and may quickly reach 100K by the end of Saturday.

    21. Tales of Vesperia (PS3)

It had crazy first-week sales, but the sales dropped off (As they all do).

Now, Love Plus is enjoying more sales per week than Vesperia, and Love Plus came out two weeks before Vesperia did. #thejapanesesoftwarechart

I know that the 360 install base isn't huge in Japan, but it IS over a million. With the reviews that this game got and supposed love for sim racers (look at GT sales), the relatively low sales for FM3 is evidence of a larger issue with the Japanese gaming public. Shame. #thejapanesesoftwarechart

@kNZA: google-fu tells me it is an adventure game, sequel to Chaos: Head Noah that was released also on X360 in February. Present time setting, Otaku main character, mystery/murder/communication devices, schoolgirls. The first one took place in Shibuya, this one in Akihabara. It is tied to some anime, but instead of retelling the story, it sheds light on some dark area of the original plot. Also the first one was a CERO Z (18+) and this one a CERO C (15+). The first game sold a total of about 40,000 units.

So now you know! (at least a little more). #thejapanesesoftwarechart

Whats nice too is the fact that Uncharted 2 doesnt have some batshit "Japanese market" price attached to it since its currently going for around 5-5,500 yen currently so 55 to 60 USD maybe.

Thanks to that pricing Ive noticed more folks in the store take a look at it. #thejapanesesoftwarechart

And is the Japanese version in English? I am wondering if I should get the American or Japanese version, for Uncharted 1 they were identical (except the cover), but not sure with Uncharted 2. #thejapanesesoftwarechart

    That's ridiculous!
Retail price is 5800 yen, Amazon JP sells it for 4780 or something, and most game stores charge what Witzbold said.

Lesson learned: don't buy your games at an Electronics Store, buy them at a Game Shop. Or Amazon. #thejapanesesoftwarechart

@Witzbold: You know, I'm getting kind of fed up with that constant condescending know-it-all tone of yours, Mr. Witzbold.

I was talking about ELECTRONICS stores vs. Game stores, so comparing BicCamera to Yodobashi is pointless because they're BOTH electronics stores.
I wouldn't actually recommend anyone to go to Yodobashi for video games, but yeah, nice job on totally pulling that out of nowhere.
Unless you expected me to be some sort of psychic and deduce that you were talking about Yodobashi in the first place, in which case...uh...yeah, sure DOOD.

Actually, come to think of it, Sofmap is a pretty good Electronics store with affordable game prices. #thejapanesesoftwarechart

@Zolbrod: Softmap usually does "wagon" sales quite often. The one in Shinjuku still has the phantasy star DS and Culdcept DS for 980 yen. With some other stuff in there.

I check it every now and then to see whats on sale.

Softmap really has to do what it can to keep customers since they have been hurting bad for quite some time now. Even more so during the passing years more and more of their stores are being shuttered. They used to "rule" Akihabara before basically and now really have become a former of their former self. #thejapanesesoftwarechart

@Witzbold: Really? Is Sofmap doing that bad? That's a pity, cos they're quite affordable really (perhaps because of that)

I've found many a good deal there (and still do), and yeah, their wagon sales can be pretty cool.

They still seem to be doing alright in Osaka, I have the impression, but of course, I'm not their accountant.
But hey, if they have the money to regularly invite Porn Actresses for autographing sessions, they gotta be doing okay, right? ;) #thejapanesesoftwarechart

@Zolbrod: Yeah lots of softmaps have shuttered. Laox also and Sakuraya also are doing poorly the only ones really sorta hanging on is Bic camera and Yodobashi, though yodobashi has really grown in power due to how many massive stores they have acquired over the years in many locations. #thejapanesesoftwarechart
