January will see the release of not only, but two discerning films with game nods from Japanese adult video maker TMA.

One is The Adultmaster, a saucy send up of Namco Bandai's iDOLM@STER franchise. It follows three women as they try to break in as "idols." The costumes look great, and the dialogue is probably spectacular.

The other is a re-release of cosplay-theme video starring Kyoko Ayana, complete with "new mosaics." This motion picture was originally released in 2004, a simpler time when women could dress up as Guilty Gear's Bridget without confusing everyone. See now, we're totally fucking baffled. Hit the jump for a picture of Kyoko as Bridget. It's safe for work, but the link is definitely not.

Just look at that yo-yo! Of course, this comes as visual novel CLANNAD gets a just released dirty parody of its own: CLONNAD.

<![CDATA[ Suggestive Rodeo Riding Machine Shame!! ]]> A little background: Panasonic released "Joba" in 2005, a horseback riding machine. The machine mimics, well, horseback riding and provides riders with an ab workout. Aimed at seniors and those not keen on doing actual exercise, the key feature of Joba is that you really don't have to do more than simply sit on it to get a workout. (Though, arm movements are encouraged.) What's more, unlike, say, a treadmill, Joba does not take up much space in cramped Japanese dwellings. Panasonic has launched this product outside Japan to varying degrees of success.

Some shameful individuals have noticed how the machine is quite suggestive. And those shameful individuals have created embarrassing fan-made clips of video game characters riding the rodeo machines. Sadly, we have posted a few of the more game related ones after the jump — THE iDOLM@STER and Haruhi. Remember: These poor characters are supposed to be on the horseback riding machines. So! If you find that offensive, do not click over. The clips are possibly NSFW.

<![CDATA[ iDOLMASTER Tickets Are Crazy Expensive ]]> Fans of Namco's Xbox 360-exclusive, J-pop idol sim THE iDOLM@STER are rich, it seems. Tickets for the iDOLM@STER event "THE iDOLM@STER 3rd Anniversary Live later this month have been going bananas. Auction prices have hit as high as ¥138,000 or US$1,292 (starting at ¥6,500 or $61) and fetching about $470 on average. The event will have the full iDOLM@STER voice cast in attendance, so perhaps these prices are understandable.

<![CDATA[ Namco's Dancing Wii Game With Added iDOLM@STER ]]> In the upcoming issue of Famitsu, Namco Bandai announced Wii music rhythm game Happy Dance Collection. The game has players rhythmically match Wii-mote motions. Yes, it's cutesy and it's got Mii crowd integration, but the real kicker here is the music. As expected, the game features popular J-Pop like "http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=2CHH8PDJqoI">Popstar" and "Choo Choo TRAIN", but also "Go My Way" from Namco's idol singer simulation Xbox 360 game THE iDOLM@STER. The female dancers also look iDOLM@STEResque. How's that for fan service!
The game is slated for sometime this year.

<![CDATA[ Red Ring of Death, Naughty Faceplate ]]> Red Ring of Death sucks. Those who've seen the mark know the feeling of having to send their console back in hopes of getting it fixed — or better yet, a new one. But some people don't want a new one. Perhaps they are attached to their console and have fond memories of it. They want their machine fixed. One Japanese Xbox 360 owner (and iDOLM@STER fan) sent his off to repairs and made this short clip when it got back. He writes:
My bride came back.! My Xbox 360 is back from Repairs and I couldn't be any happier. I was so happy... I decided to make a very simple very short video showing my wonderful Xbox and how it is after getting back from the repair
And how does he know its his? The serial number and, well, his topless teen faceplate. Yep.

At a recent Namco press conference, it was announced that music idol managing sim THE iDOLM@STER has sold over 100,000 copies since going on sale last January in Japan. That's not so impressive (it is an Xbox 360 game, though). Here is what's impressive: It's number 3 in the world for downloadable content, selling US $3 million worth. That means the DLC per copy rate is VERY HIGH. What's more, this is only Japan. Free downloadable demos also clock in at 1.2 downloads. The entire iDOLM@STER market size for arcades, merchandise (CDs, etc) and whatnot is supposedly around US $56 million dollars. What's THE iDOLM@STER? It's nerd heroin.

Katamari is known for its catchy tunes. Beautiful Katamari should be no exception! No, think of the erotic PC game as an expansion. For those who missed it, Namco's THE iDOLM@STER was by no means an erotic game (though, it did have some saucy dialogue and spicy costumes). A Japanese cult hit of sorts, the game did a decent showing on the Xbox 360 in Japan. TimeLeap hopes to capitalize on that. How popular is anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya? Popular enough to get a porno based on it, that's how. That's pretty popular! The anime's a smash hit, and the ending dance sequence has been memorized by dorks everywhere. Heck, I've watched that dance sequence into the ground, and I'm still not sick of it. Kinda hope that the PSP version is just a bunch of mini-games based on that dance. Sadly, I know that's not gonna happen. <![CDATA[ PS3 Shamed By THE iDOLM@STER ]]>

Sony's graced Japan with some neat online goodies this week: new PS3-content-accessing PSP firmware and a Folk Lore demo. What about retailers? Nope, it seems. Retailer Sofmap's main Akihabara store has been running the above promotion in the PS3 corner. The machine may be PS3, but it's running footage from Xbox 360 title THE iDOLM@STER. The text reads:

Since no new PS3 games are coming out this week, here's footage of brand new iM@S downloadable content! (Konshuu wa PS3 no shinsaku detenai kara, Aimas : saishin DLC no kono eizou nagasuze!)

Below that, the text informs customers that Xbox 360 consoles, software and Microsoft Points are all available on the third floor. Don't think of this just as Sony's new console being used by a major Japanese retailer to plug an Xbox 360 game. Think of it as the PS3 being used to promote iM@S — nerd heroin far more potent than mere mortal things like consoles.

I recently finished up a magazine article on THE iDOLM@STER, which is like Pokémon meets American Idol, and can safely say that the game is the biggest nerd release since the last big nerd release. News bit: The producer for the Xbox 360 version said he'd be interested in bringing the game to English-speaking audiences. That is, if English audiences are interested. <![CDATA[ Clip: The Great Otaku Japanese TV Challenge ]]>

That pink-helmeted warrior is today's nerd hero. His name is Naoto Fujimura, and he recently appeared on TV Tokyo's TV Champion 2. Vitals: Fujimura is 19 years old and actually owns an Xbox 360. No, really. His favorite game? THE iDOLM@STER. Pretty much the entire show is after the jump, complete with Aya Ueto and Yu Yamada ads. It's almost an hour and all in Japanese, but you should be able to follow. Grab a chilled beverage, settle in and cheer Fujimura on as he battles his way to the top!

Human Mario. Contestants must jump on a trampoline, grab the giant coin and answer doozies like "Besides 'Developer System,' what does "DS" stand for?" or "What happens when you touch Stufy's sister Stapy?" or the nerd riot inducing "When choosing a file, how do you make Luigi appear in-game?"

The nerds have gotten better at jumping on the trampoline and get dished questions like "How many different types of dogs are in Nintendogs?" or "What happens when you say umeboshi twice to Dr. Kawashima?" Stage 2 includes having contestants name all 64 enemies appearing in New Super Mario Bros. from memory without repeats!

Note: "Kurokki—" does not appear in NSMB. Contestant Wada in the business suit owns this round! The loser does not advance, which is an insane Puyo Puyo giant fan battle.

Onto the Championship Stage! We get a tour of 19 year-old Naoto Fujimura's THE iDOLM@STER room. He's up against wanna-be game programmer Yoshihiro Nakajima, the ten-hour gamer! He's a gentle soul and *hearts* Pokémon Pearl. There's a quiz, and the winner gets an Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, DS and PSP. The first question involves naming Gundams in Gundam Musou, while the second one asks how to switch to the blue hard court in Wii Tennis. The third question involves the Xbox 360! And iDOLM@STER!! Can Fujimura pull it off?! The suspense is killing me!!!

And you were worried? Just look at the 10-hour gamer's reaction. But, there are two more questions, questions that don't involve the Xbox 360 or THE iDOLM@STER. But involve Nintendo stuff and Sony stuff.

And like that, it's over. Fujimura is no match for the soft hearted 10-hour gamer. But, watch out virtual idols!

Japan-based Kotakuite pokemogu sent along along article from Yukan Fuji about how Xbox Live's doing in The Land of the Rising Sun. And how is it doing? Much, much better. Japan's Xbox Live sign-up rate is now highest in the world, thanks to THE IDOLM@STER. Hit the jump to read the article, kindly translated by pokemogu.

THE IDOLM@STER saves the Xbox 360 in Japan? According to several sources, Japan now has the best ratio of Xbox Live sign-ups to the number of units sold.

A person connected to Microsoft explains the reason. "For now, the sales of Xbox Live in Japan are dominated by Bandai Namco's THE IDOLM@STER. It's amazing."

According to that individual, the sales of Microsoft Points in Japan have increased by 230% from last year-end sales. Especially on 25th January, when THE IDOLM@STER was released, Microsoft sold 4 times as many Microsoft Points as they sold on 24th January.

Also, one month after the release, the popularity of THE IDOLM@STER in Japan has yet to decline. Likewise, items which cost 1000 Microsoft Points are selling well. (1,000 Microsoft Points cost ¥ 1,500 or US $13.)

The insider says "Our fans know that playing card games online like UNO is a lot of fun, but we think those people haven't experienced enough. Using THE IDOLM@STER, we would like to start showing how Xbox Live is fun."

Yup, it's THE IDOLM@STER mashed with Windows. From an English description on the clip's YouTube page:

TOSIAKI(Hero) He is their master. me(green) Personification of Windowsme. She is blundering and freezing at once. 2k(blue and glasses) Personification of Windows2000.She is a honor student. She have no affability, but she loves TOSIAKI. XP(black and long hair) Personification of WindowsXP.She is excellent and a little meddlesome. She loves TOSIAKI. 95(Kimono and Japanese sword) Personification of Windows95. Eldest daughter of OS family. A violent fight with the Apple was unfolded. Because she has already retired from the active service, it is ignorant of recent information.

And there you have it: A singing OS-tan blowout!
