Sensible World of Soccer features standard classic and enhanced graphics modes plus online play for two players. Tempest comes to us courtesy of Stainless Games, developers of the recently released Asteroids for XBLA, as well as many other Atari remakes. (Say, these guys are doing a Warlords update for Live? Awesome!)

Both titles should hit early Wednesday morning. Tempest is 400 Microsoft Points, with SWOS ringing in at 800. I know what Luke Plunkett's buying this week!

<![CDATA[Timeless Beauty in 80's Games]]> The artist formerly known as Florian over at Wired Blogs writes about an artist named Rosemarie Fiore, who has captured the true beauty of classic video games. You see, it isn't so much the dancer as it is the dance itself that made the old school enjoyable, and when you record an entire second of said dance onto a single frame of film you can truly appreciate it.

The name 'Tempest' becomes even more appropriate when you see the storm of color and light that one second of the original creates on film. Her page also features Gyruss, Quantum, and Qix. My only problem with her work is that she didn't do more of it.

<![CDATA[Subware Goes Retro With Tempest Hoodie]]> Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, I'm going to give the thumbs down to a piece of video game related clothing. But, this sweet "Tempted Hoody" from Subware, a label from the New York-based artist Stash, gives a very fashionable nod to Atari's Tempest and gets my rare gaming clothing thumbs up. Granted, the sort of design that fails to make me cringe often comes at a high price. Japanese retailer ZOZO is listing this very cozy-lookin' pullover for 14,490 yen. That's massive wallet damage to the tune of $120 American. Shipping? I don't even want to ask.

I'm on the hunt for a stateside retailer now and will update if I find the hoodie (also available in maroon!) for a more reasonable price.

Update: Clothes-hound Kotaku reader Chris F. let us know: "No lead on the hoodie, but Turntable Lab is selling a t-shirt of the Subware Tempted design for $30, in grey or black." Awesome! Thanks!
