Twitter maniac and former Kotaku guest editor Geoff Keighley is at it again, teasing more important goings-on happening at this year's spike TV Video Game Awards on December 12th. We've got the Halo: Reach premiere, and now a brand new game in the Star Wars franchise.

There's a teaser vid posted over at GameTrailers, but it doesn't do more than tease us with footage from older titles. Is it a new Battlefront? A new X-Wing game? Masters of Teras Kasi 2? We'll find out on December 12th.

<![CDATA[Fat Princess Teases Pirates And Ninjas]]> What could possibly be missing from Titan Studios' multiplayer online PlayStation Network game, Fat Princess? Oh yeah...those.

No details and no teasing words. Just a simple image popping up on Titan's website. Subtle. Classy. Pirates. Ninjas. New job classes for the game, or does someone over there just really love pirates and ninjas? The world may never know.

Oh of course we'll know, eventually.

Avast! [Titan Studios - Thanks David!]

<![CDATA[X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter Making A Comeback?]]> With LucasArts in a re-releasing and re-making mood, with classic games on Steam and the Monkey Island remake on Xbox Live, is there anything happening with the classic X-Wing space combat series? Could be...

G4's Patrick Klepek inquired as to the future of the X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter series during an interview with LucasArts president Darrel Rodriguez, who teased us like the teasing teaser that he so obviously is.

"We don't have any announcements now, but stay tuned," said Rodriguez. "We will soon….."

Dammit, another impending announcement announcement! Is it a re-release of the classic games, or an entirely new chapter in the series, bringing the awesome space dogfighting action up to speed with the current crop of hardware? Hell, at this point I'd be satisfied with an Xbox Live Arcade remake. Just let me shoot an X-Wing with a Tie Fighter, and vice versa, and I will be very, very pleased.

<![CDATA[Mai Tease In The King Of Fighters XII Legacy Trailer]]> Of all of the shots of the original The King of Fighters '94 to show off in this trailer for the latest version, Ignition had to go with a Mai Shiranui shot.

Mai's absence in The King of Fighters XII is being felt keenly by fans, and while she could be showing up as a downloadable character somewhere down the line, it's still a rather sore subject. So why would a company release a video on the evolution of the series that punctuates the hardest part of that evolution to handle? It's cruel and unusual punishment, I tell you.

<![CDATA[LucasArts Announcing News On Old Game On Monday]]> LucasArts Games promises to unveil exciting news based on an existing franchise on Monday.

"Amazing news coming Monday! Super excited! You have no idea how tough it is not to start yelling about it! But it's secret! Until Monday!"

The news, they say, will be "awesome news for old school fans."

While it's possible, with the upcoming re-release of The Secret of Monkey Island, that this could be another re-imagining of one of LucasArts' classic adventure games or even DLC, my money is on something more modern.

When Free Radical gave up the ghost last year, concept art for some pretty spectacular Star Wars Battlefront III ideas shook loose.

What I hope happens is that a new developer is named for the Star Wars shooter, one that can bring dark Obi-Wan to life.

<![CDATA[Xbox Employee Issues Maddening Mad-Lib Tweet]]> Hideo Kojima can have his countdown clocks. Other publishers can have their surprise trailers. But the best tease of the day may be the tweet from one Stephen Toulouse.

From the Twitter feed of Stephen Toulouse, head of Xbox Live policy and enforcement, aka the Xbox 360's top cop...

"Wow. I got to play with [REDACTED]'s new [REDACTED] on the next version of [REDACTED]'s [REDACTED]. IT WAS AWESOME."

Maybe he's not even talking about video games, but it's fun to guess.

I'll start:

Totilo's Take: "Wow. I got to play with [Capcom]'s new [Strider] on the next version of [Microsoft]'s [Xbox Live Arcade]. IT WAS AWESOME."

Or... because that's probably not true and this may not even be Xbox-related, how about

Totilo's Take #2: "Wow. I got to play with [Sega]'s new [Monkey Ball] on the next version of [Apple]'s [iPhone]. IT WAS AWESOME."

Your turn.

<![CDATA[Wolverine Behind-The-Scenes Teases Secrets]]> The latest developer diary video for X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a dirty, no-good secret snikt-tease.

Developer Raven hasn't so much created levels for the game as they have crafted environments for players to romp about it. Forest environments; jungle environments; snowy forest environments - they're all represented here. It's all very interesting, until they get to the end of the clip, when senior artist Cory Carani (my favorite member of the development staff) is about to reveal a big secret in the game, only to have Doug Smith (boo) ruin it with his damnable secrecy.

Curse your secrecy, Doug Smith. Curse it!

<![CDATA[Tour Aion's Lovely Ishlagen Zone]]> At this point I am relatively sure NCsoft just enjoys teasing North American and European online role-playing game fans, releasing another clip of a place we won't soon be able to go in Aion.

Until we have a solid date on when we'll be able to step foot in the lovely places displayed in videos for zones like Poeta, Atlgard, and now this one for the island of Ishalgen, all these clips amount to is painful teasing. NCsoft has fans among acquaintances of mine who have been foaming at the month for this game for a year, and they don't really need the extra foam.

Maybe a little sprinkle of cinnamon, but definitely no extra foam.

Ishalgen

The island of Ishalgen is a fragment of Asmodae, slowly being pulled apart by several warring factions. The Ulgorn Bandits have established themselves quite comfortably within the Aldelle Village, claiming both the breathtaking Lake Tunapre as well as the mysterious Munihele Forest as their own. Tensions run high within the Odella Plantation, where the fierce Gray Mane Mau have enslaved the Dundun Skurvs to cultivate Odella. Suspicious by nature, the Ulgorn Bandits have found themselves with even more to worry about, as a strange ship carrying unfamiliar faces has recently shown up along the Anturoon Coast. The Ishalgen Prison Camp with its seething hordes of undead remains one of the few uncontested regions of the island, although it is rumored to harbor a powerful secret.

<![CDATA[It's The The Final Fantasy XIII Countdown]]> Square Enix revisits that most annoying of video game news teases, the countdown clock, promising a "new vision" of Final Fantasy XIII soon to be revealed to the world.

We've been annoyed by countdown clocks since the first early human crawled out of the goo and said, "Hold on a sec", but when it's Square Enix revealing something new about Final Fantasy XIII, I suppose we have to at least take a peek. The clock just recently started up, counting down seven days until...something.

The countdown has begun. A new vision will soon be revealed to the world. Register now to ensure you're there for the unveiling.

*registers now* There, happy?

I certainly hope this isn't just the North American and European versions of the reveal of Sahz Kalzroy. They wouldn't do that, would they?

<![CDATA[And The Big Fable II Announcement Is...]]> ...delayed! According to a post on Lionhead's Fable II development blog, good old Sam explains that the Microsoft didn't think now was the right time for the big announcement they teased last week, and so the teasing continues until this coming Monday, November 24th. Wait! Don't be sad! There's still some good news to be had.

To celebrate the launch of the New Xbox Experience, we've created an all-new Fable II theme for your dashboard. Go show your Fable pride!

Well that's something, I suppose. Not sure if this indicates that Lionhead is very bad at teasing, or very, very good at it. You decide.

<![CDATA[A Taste of a Halo Wars Battle]]> HW_800x600_4.jpgHalo Wars moderator Thunder updated the official Halo Wars forums with a bit of news and a taste of what battles in the Halo-themed RTS will be like when it releases. The ever-so-slight news is that the July 6 monthly update will have some more game details and that July will also see the relaunching of the Halo Wars website which will include a new look and "something cool going on the side as well." Hit the jump for Thunder's description of his Halo Wars match against programmer Rob Fermier.

Picture this. I'm sitting on one side of our open playtest area with one of our programmers who goes by the name of Rob "Xemu" Fermier" having just cleaned my clock in a game of Halo Wars sitting on the other side. To be honest, he had completely mopped the floor with me. It was sad, and a number of people who had just witnessed the game were heckling me. We ended up having a rematch...

To further set the scene, we had a new surround sound system hooked up to the TV that I was using and at this point, Producer Chris Rippy stepped in to crank the volume.

The game fired up and I had to weather some early raids by Rob's Warthogs. I managed to survive that and then eventually managed to field a large force of units, the largest force I've seen in the game yet. The screen was almost full. As I wiped out Rob's units, I just kept cranking out more guys. I was using a combination of land and air units that not only looked cool, but was very satisfying to use in Rob's base with the sound of destruction and weapons fire ringing in my ears. I think I may have heard Rob's units calling out for him to resign so they could be spared the onslaught. (This is where Rob stops reading and comes down to my office and challenges me to a game, and I tell him I have to wash my hair.)

Thanks for the game Rob, especially taking it easy on me during the rematch! In short, the game ended up not only really looking like a massive battle scene from Halo, but also sounding like a war from Halo. It won't be too much longer before we'll be comfortable to share more imagery with you all.

That was actually the first of two "Holy...cow" moments for me this month. The second came when... [CENSORED]

I know it's just a long tease, but it still makes me all itchy to play the game.

<![CDATA[Starcraft2.com - Teasing Gamers Since 1999]]> We've received several tips from wide-eyed gamers pointing us, hands shaking with excitement, to Starcraft2.com. Type in the URL and it redirects you to the teaser that's playing out on the Blizzard home page right now. So yeah, only a simple redirect for now. Certainly could indicate that Starcraft 2 is on its way.

Looking at the WHOIS information, the Starcraft2.com domain has been around since 1999, a year after the original game first came out, so it has been floating around forever. It's an easy thing to take an existing URL and have it point somewhere else, so who really knows?

Blizzard, of course, and they'll be sure to let us in on it soon. A simple redirect, or is Starcraft2.com just a DNS assignment away from becoming a full-fledged game site?
