    @sqlrob: Agent is the PS3 exclusive. Noire has never been officially confirmed or denied as a PS3 exclusive.

    @sqlrob: No. Agent is an open-world Cold War espionage game designed by the Houser brothers and Rockstar North. It was announced at Sony's E3 press conference this year.

    You're thinking of The Agency, which is an Sony Online MMORPG shooter.

    LA Noire has only been announced for PS3 so far, but they've never officially called it an exclusive, and I think even Jack Tretton himself said it was multiplatform.

    @Archaotic: Jack Tretton didn't say LA Noire is multiplatform. All he said was LA Noire isn't the new unrevealed PS3 game Rockstar is working on, which was revealed to be Agent.

    @Archaotic: The Agency never came out, did it? And apart from the GTA IV DLC, Rockstar never really committed itself to exclusivity over the long term.

    The Agency = Sony Online Entertainment MMORPG. It's not out yet.

    Agent = Rockstar North's new PS3-exclusive cold war sim. It's not out yet either.

    @Archaotic: I know Agent's not out yet. But I know exclusivity doesn't tend to last with practically all of Rockstar's games.

    @Covenant: Probably simultaneous release. We now know Agent is the Rockstar PS3 exclusive, so it's very unlikely that LA Noire is going to NOT be multiplatform.

    Hell, that's probably why it's taking so long.

    The worrying part is that if they started on this game before 2006, by now, what they've built the game upon is likely outdated and outclassed by current games.

    So I expect that they've either started from scratch recently, which means an even longer wait, or a shoddy, but inspired game that gets ignored in winter 2010.

    @Defeater: It would be a shame it it were ignored if only because of graphics. I mean, countless great looking games came out in '07 and I really haven't been wowed by what little changes there may have been since then.

    With Max Payne being brutally torn out of the noir genre and shoved into "generic shooter" territory, it'll be nice to have a new noir game on the market. I'm interested in this one and Agent. Hope they both kick ass.
