Jindal didn't sign the Thompson law, he was not elected into the governorship until 2007.
You have the same people to thank for terrible Katrina efforts to thank for the passed Thompson bill.
Jindal is doing a pretty good job.

There's been some reporting locally about how the tax incentives for the film industry have been underperforming, and I heard on NPR that Massachusetts actually lost roughly 80 million on such incentives. Given that video game studios don't employ nearly as many people directly or indirectly as a movie studio in general, I don't think this will pay off. One of the state's problems is that the population just isn't educated enough to handle white collar work. This is a step in the right direction, but, at best, this may help with the "brain drain" afflicting the state by letting it retain a few people who would have left the state in search of employment.

Also, the story about the Christmas display having tarps on the roofs is brilliant ahah

Damn, we thought of the idea first! -- I'm so tired, the fact I written "free money" makes me sound so dumb.

Whatever though. People can think what they will of us. I'm a database programmer for a company widely respected across the SE region in our industry, and I'm proud we're based in Louisiana.
