It's fun, but don't expect a Street Fighter 4 (or even Marvel Vs. Capcom) experience here. It's very minimal in terms of moves/buttons but flashy enough to make up for it.

Unless you suddenly unluck a secret code for Ryu to do his Shin-sho-ryuken in SF 4...in this game he has it and more. Alex has more moves than in SF 3 (like the air power bomb grab, instead of only doing it in the floor) and so on...so yeah the moves are intact. The buttons is true, but the move set and combos you can do are in no way minimal compare to other vs. games and much less compare to SF 4. #tatsunokovscapcomultimateallstars...

@daknight: Okay. Perhaps "minimal" wasn't the word I was looking for.
For a 4-button structure (or a 2 button if you're using the sideways Wiimote) The moves may BE there, but they won't all activate as you'd expect them to coming off of playing SF or MVsC.

The game seems to take a bit of SF 4 spirit of 'input translation' as in that the game will kind of auto register some inputs based on some of the one you did, reason sometimes you come off doing a kick special and go to do a punch special and the game still does a kick one...happens to me all the time with Abel and gets annoying -_- and why Zangief is so easy to use in SF 4.
To someone use to MvsC 2 this might feel to different and this he won't like it maybe...lucky for me I didn't really like MvsC 2 and is probably reason I liked this one more. Still there is always room for improvement in every of the .vs games (and in any game in general) and this is no exception. #tatsunokovscapcomultimateallstars...

anyways, @zanzibar.. to each his own. my friends and i (who are all hardcore fighting games fans) love this game. i imported it last december, and i have had friends either buy or consider buying wiis for this game. i didnt get rival school vibes at all from this game (rival schools was the first game i got for my psx.. love that game and id love for capcom to make project justice 2/rival schools 3).
the game felt like a bridge between marvel vs capcom 2 and cvs 2... it wasnt as chaotic and ridiculous as mvc 2, but not as refined as cvs 2. just like in any other fighting game, you can button mash all you want.. but if youre playing anyone worth a crap.. it wont help you. its an excellent game, and i like it a lot better than mvc 2 and sf IV. check it out. #tatsunokovscapcomultimateallstars...

Also unlike other .vs games, there are combo cancelers so the other player can pull a cancel move on you and turn the tables around by starting a combo that way.
The game buttons are simpler than other fighting games, but it doesn't make it a button smasher againts someone that knows about: Advance Guard, Super cancelers (basicly is advance guard plus, if you block a super you can call your partner in a special way and he'll hit the enemy stoping his attacks) 'Baroque', combo cancel and of course the combo system itself.
So yeah, the game isn't a button smasher and button smashing againts someone that knows the game will get you no where. #tatsunokovscapcomultimateallstars...

@IvanDashSmith: The cover is just miss-leading though. You can't even play as Cyclops, Jubilee, Psylocke, Saki, Anita and a few others but you get a better look at them than some of the playables.
