Just like we thought — popular Japanese voice actor Rikiya Koyama has confused Tales of Vesperia with Wii title Tales of Graces.

Last week we reported that Koyama wrote on his official blog: "Tales of Vesperia is coming out on one thing after another: Xbox 360, then PS3, and now upcoming, goes on sale even on the Wii. More shortly, the feature film anime version is also opening in theaters (But, I, I'm not in it...), and after that, there's also a CD."

Koyama voices the character of Duke in Tales of Vesperia, which was originally released as a timed Xbox 360 exclusive in 2008. The PS3 version was released in September 2009.

The voice actor has since updated his blog, writing, "About the game's sale on the Wii, I mistook Takes of Graces with Tales of Vesperia! To everyone connected to this, I am truly sorry!!!!"

<![CDATA[Vesperia Fashion In Tales of Graces]]> Siliconera reports that Tales of Graces pre-order customers score Tales of Vesperia downloadable content in the form of three fashionable costumes.

In this blurry YouTube vid, you can clearly see Graces' lead character Asbel sporting a Yuri Lowell outfit. Far cuter is the Rita Mordio getup that goes to Sheria, but sadly you can hardly see it. Oh, and Patty the pirate gets a little DLC love too.

While we're on the subject of Graces, check out some new screen shots Game Watch picked up today.

<![CDATA[What Can Kotaku Tell Me About These Tales of Graces Vids?]]> Dear Japanese role-playing game gods, let Namco Bandai bring Tales of Graces to the US soon. I need to get the lingering yuck of Dawn of the New World out of my Wii.

Regrettably my Japanese has deteriorated so badly I have almost no idea what's going on in either video. However, I'm sure Tales fans will see a lot of familiar motifs to fill in the gaps. And of course you could argue that you don't need to be able to read the subtitles to know what's going on in a Tales game — the world is in danger, there's some elaborately-dressed individuals with fabulous, physics-defying hair, "OMG, don't kill yourself!" and so forth.

Seriously, sign me up. And please, take a stab at interpreting the text in these vids for me. Specifically, what's up with that sprocket the guy picks up during this gameplay vid:

P.S. BoA theme song for the win!

<![CDATA[Tales Of Graces Lookin' Graceful]]> With exclusive Tales of Graces, Namco's Tales franchise is coming to the Wii. The game is the 12th in the role-playing series.

It's expected up last up to 70 hours, making it a big, meaty JRPG experience for the Wii.

Graces has a battle system that allows characters to freely pick from two different fighting styles using either the A or the B button.

The game is slated for this Winter in Japan. It doesn't not have a Western release date quite yet.

<![CDATA[Tales Screens Tell Little, Show Rocket Ship]]> Somebody likes to wear white, Stan loses to Cless and Japan's deep-seated obsession with pirates somehow ties into space and kabobs.

That's about all we can tell from this slew of Tales screens Namco Bandai reportedly released today. There's a batch each for the upcoming Tales of Graces on the Wii, Tales of VS on the PSP and the PS3 release of Tales of Vesperia.

If your Japanese is better than mine (and it probably is, so don't be shy), you might be able to tell more about Patty the Pirate based on her dialog and attack text. The best I can make out is one of her attacks and I'm not even 100% on that because I highly doubt a Tales character would say something like "Little Big Shiv."

<![CDATA[New Tales Of Title For The Nintendo Wii]]> Namco Bandai announced the latest home console entry in its Tales of series.

Dubbed Tales of Graces, the game is coming to the Wii this winter. Mutsumi Inomata is doing the character design. She's known for anime work on My-HIME and Future GPX Cyber Formula as well as working seven titles in the Tales of series.

The game's theme is "protection", and according to Namco, the battle system and system screens are different from pervious titles.

Namco Bandai's Tales of role-playing-game series started in 1995 with Tales of Phantasia.

This announcement confirms what we dug up last month: registered trademarks for Tales of Graces, among other titles.

<![CDATA[Tales Of Vesperia PS3-Bound, More Tales Spun]]> The latest weekly issue of Japan's Jump Magazine contains a veritable flood of Tales of news from Namco Bandai, announcing Tales of VS, Tales of Graces, and Tales of Vesperia for the PlayStation 3.

The big news here for PlayStation 3 fans is the announcement of the previously Xbox 360 exclusive Tales of Vesperia for the PS3, bringing one of the better Tales tales told in years to the Sony platform. Along with the Vesperia news, we also see the official announcement of Tales of VS, a fighting game for the PSP along the same lines as Dissidia: Final Fantasy. and Tales of Graces for the Wii, the first original Wii game in the Tales series, two game names that McWhertor discovered earlier last month using his magical trademark-sniffing powers.

Check out the link before for more scans of pretty anime characters doing action role-playing things.

<![CDATA[Namco To Spin Tales Of Graces, Tales Of Versus]]> You keep buyin' 'em, Namco Bandai's Tales Studio is gonna keep makin' 'em. The Tales Of series of role-playing games, that is. The publisher of said series has registered trademarks for two new entries.

Expect both Tales Of Graces and Tales Of Vs. to appear on a console or portable gaming system within the next year, two potential new titles in the series. Namco Bandai shipped five Tales Of SKUs in Japan last year, just two of them made it to the West.

The publisher went on a Tales trademarking spree not too long ago in Japan, filing for marks on Tales Of Floweria and Tales Of Unitia, among others. We'd expect to see just random strings of alphanumerics at some point in the next decade, Tales Of A8xzZLKx9, for example. The dictionary is only so long.

Namco Bandai also has new outstanding trademarks for Muscle March and Broken Destiny, if those sound familiar. They don't to me.
