When I went to the The Arcade Flyer Archive today to start the rigorous search for this week's flyer to feature I saw this note from TAFA's tireless founder, Dan. More »

    TAFA November Update

It's the beginning of the month and once again it's time for another Arcade Flyer Archive update. This month's update includes a rare Pac-Man flyer that makes no bones about Midway's stance on copyright infringement, some more classic flyers, a swwet Paul Bunyon pinball machine and this week's Arcade Flyer Art Saturday feature, Death Smiles (complete with "blow up skirt" game). Don't forget that starting in January, TAFA will have a boatload of their flyers up for sale for a paltry $1 a piece. So, be sure to save up those pennies, Susan B. Anthony's and Sacajawea's!

    TAFA October Update

It's the beginning of the month so it must be time for another Arcade Flyer Archive update! As usual TAFA graces us with another hundred flyers in each of their three categories: video games, pinball games and arcade amusement games. This month in video games we get Dead or Alive, Burger Time, House of the Dead 4 Special and Metal Slug X just to name a few. Pinball and Arcade Amusement also get their fair share with some new SMB Pinballs and Ashcraft's favorite Love and Berry Dress Up Dance. So, head on over to TAFA and see what all the hub-bub is about.

    TAFA September Update

The Arcade Flyer Archive update for September is in with tons of new flyers in all three archives. The video game section is especially exciting this time around because Dan went to a lot of trouble to get his hands on some amazing flyers from Japan including Out Run, Art of Fighting 2, Fatal Fury Special and Ikari Warriors. The Arcade & Amusement section is featuring some nice olde tyme shuffle and bowling type game flyers and the Pinball Archive has got some great new pieces with the likes of Buck Rogers, Judge Dredd and Q-Bert's Quest. This time around they have manged to lay hands on a Tekken 6 flyer as well as one for the new Silent Hill Arcade Game. The Pinball and Arcade & Amusement sections are featuring games based on popular video game franchises like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and of course, Mario Bros. If you've never checked out TAFA, now is the time, and if you are a faithful fan, you'll find plenty of new stuff to peruse with this month's update.

    TAFA June Update Hits

I've written about The Arcade Flyer Archive before in past posts and I am making it my personal mission to get as much info about this great site out as possible. I previously reported that site owners Dan and Eric had expanded the archive to include pinball and arcade game (non video) flyers by adding hundreds of new pieces in each category. Now their June update has just arrived bringing with it 50 new flyers in each of the three sections and taking the totals of the two new sections up to 500 flyers each! If you're into any kind of arcade history at all, I encourage you once again to check out this great archive and see what all the fuss is about for yourself.

TAFA Opens The Curtain On Two New Archives

A few weeks back I brought you news of The Arcade Flyer Archive and their effort to launch two new archives, one for Pinball Flyers and another for non video game Arcade Game Flyers. On April 30th TAFA opened it's two new archives both of which can be accessed from their main page. The two new sections have been supplemented with over 400 new flyers each in addition to the many that they already had in the mix. Also present is a fancy new logo and streamlined navigation system. TAFA To Launch Two New Archives

As I was perusing The Arcade Flyer Archive yesterday in search of an appropriate piece for Arcade Flyer Art Saturday, I noticed a little announcement post from site co-owner Dan Hower. After acquiring over 10,000 new coin-op flyers from a private collector, TAFA plans to launch two new archive collections, The Pinball Flyer Archive and The Arcade and Amusement Game Archive. More »
