”The ABCs of Gaming
And to wrap things up today, here's "The ABCs of Gaming," from a t-shirt design contest at Shirt.woot.com. The contest closed this week. The latest on the site shows another shirt claiming 2nd place in this derby so, who knows, maybe it won. I'm sure the ordering information will follow.
For now, take a long look and see if you can name all 26. I can name about 19 offhand. There's a spoiler solution after the jump.

More »The Hundreds Do Rampage
California-centric label The Hundreds—which has established a rabid fanbase in its few years on the streetwear scene—riffs some Rampage with its Summer line-up. Fans of George, Lizzie and Ralph can now hang with the Fairfax and Rosewood crowd without fear of persecution. Further proof that $30 is not too much for a quality t-shirt! Digital Gravel has it now in three colorways, if you're interested, but expect other boutique retailers to get their shipments soon.

"8-Bit Investigation" Shirt Is Worth Investigating
"8-Bit Investigation" is among the more clever pixel art designs we've seen in some time. A tribute to Sierra's adventure games gone by, the shirt explores the aftermath of one character's graphic (pun definitely intended) fall from a building. From the splattered pixels on the pavement to the pixel puking in the background, it's another one of those almost obnoxiously cute designs that the Threadless community is known for. $20, but I wish it came in other colors than gray.

101 Ways To PWN A N00B
Do you like to pwn n00bs? WHO DOESN'T??? So maybe the 101 Ways To PWN A N00B shirt is for you. Featuring 101 unique approaches to destroying the digital underclass, we'd probably prefer the design as a poster, but hey, beggers can't be choosers. And as dorks, we're pleased to see "lightsaber" and "the Force" categories separated for accuracy. If you like the design and would like to see it covering your corpus, you've gotta vote to make it happen. Doesn't anyone just make t-shirts and sell them any more?

Steampunk Space Invaders Tee Ready To Invade Your Closet
The Space Invaders inspired design that we posted about late last year has become an official Threadless item, ready to be snapped up by t-shirt fans with an extra $15 (or $17, for the ladies) in their pockets. Putting me in poppy orange is like putting me in madras, so I'll be passing, but retro fans with an eye for steampunk may find it suitable enough. Everyone else seemed to like it at the time, so a link to the online haberdasher is provided below.

GameSetApparel Adds New Fine Wearables To Fantasy Line
Former Kotaku guest editor and chronic workaholic Simon Carless let us know today that the GameSetApparel project has officially expanded, fulfilling the promise of four limited-edition t-shirts made in December. Rounding out the "Games That Never Were" series—and joining the already released Polybius tee are three fresh shirts. Hostage Negotiator II by Alien Hominid artist Dan Paladin, Grabungadung by Schadenfreude Interactive and Glorkian Warrior by comic artist James Kochalka comprise the remainder of fantasy games from creative minds.
Each are differing levels of snazzy and should go a long way to making your torso and shoulder area less naked. Details on each of the limited t-shirts are available at the official site, as are handy ordering instructions.
Arkanoid Tee Specifically For Streetwear, Russian Bear Fans
While I'm a casual fan of block-busting arcade games like Breakout and Arkanoid, I'm a much bigger fan of clothing label Mishka, maker of fine t-shirts. Fellow Kotaku Tower inhabitant Luke Plunkett has more than once suggested that I attempt to seek a sponsored endorsement deal from the company in an attempt to offset the outflow of cash that goes in the Brooklyn-based company's direction. So far, no dice. While the brand generally focuses on things like metal, horror movies and He-Man, it's first video game related tee goes for an Arkanoid vibe. Yes, that Vaus at the bottom, tackling the label's Bear Mop logo... which has exploded in a very un-Arkanoid fashion. For those carrying on to the Mishka web site, keep in mind that it can be NSFW at times, so browser beware.

Hey, Look, It's Another Threadless Video Game Shirt
The design community at Threadless has approved yet another video game themed design, this one based on classic block dropper Tetris. Actually, it could very well be based on Technos' Block Out, a three dimensional take on the genre that was a personal favorite during my arcade employment duties. Anyway, back on topic, the design "I Hate Packing" is ready for your buying pleasure with Threadless listing all sizes as having "plenty in stock." It's cute, as are all things Threadless.

GameSetWatch Spins Off Apparel Line
My philosophy on life is this: you can never be too thin, too rich or have too many t-shirts. Fortunately for those with bare torsos and a taste for gaming, Simon Carless from GameSetWatch has announced the availability of the site's newest venture, a line of limited t-shirts known as GameSetApparel. The first of four, available now, highlights one of gaming's more infamous urban legends, Polybius. Legend has it, Polybius was an arcade game so frightening that merely playing could lead to insanity, resulting in the game being pulled from public display.
Only 111 of the Polybius shirts are available, but Simon and GSA plan to release another three designs this January, all part of the Games That Never Were line and all featuring the artwork of well known artists. Should you be willing to take a chance, all four are up for pre-order now.
Good news, but as a SMALL t-shirt wearer, I'm more excited about the rumors I've been hearing of the GameSetWatch monster truck.

Brütal Legend's Brutally Early Bonus
Double Fine Production's Brütal Legend doesn't have a nailed down release date, but we can expect it some time in 2008. For those willing to let Gamestop hold onto sixty of their American dollars until it's eventually released, they'll snag themselves a snazzy black t-shirt with the game's bloody logo on the front and protagonist splashed across the back. Unfortunately, a trio of Gamestop, Sierra and Double Fine suck some of the cool right out of it.
The shirt giveaway is limited to the first 666 folks who pre-order, so don't sleep. Keep in mind that if Brütal Legend logos are your bag, shirts already decorated with such a thing are available at the Double Fine Shop. Enjoy being clothed!

Pac-Man T Ready For Your Mass Consumption
Jessica Fink's fabulous "Ghost Rider" design was snubbed by the pun-hungry voting masses at Threadless, but that didn't stop her from printing up her own batch of the Pac-Man inspired tee for those of you who loved it to death when we posted about it a year ago. It's up for sale at her Etsy shop, with printing numbers well into the "lots." Don't sleep on it, though, as the trademark stewards may be fashioning an e-mail within the day.

At Least Threadless Love E For All

They've held design contests centered around themes like PaRappa the Rapper, LocoRoco and Bioshock—and they ain't stoppin' now. Partnering with E For All for their latest competition, budding Illustrator users can win fabulous prizes, including a Wii, cold hard cashola, and tickets to the E For All expo.
So make with the puns and emo imagery, kids, and let's do this.

Mario Tee is Why I'm Hot
For those looking to buy a retro tee that will (hopefully) make little to no sense in a few more weeks, we highly advise you purchase this shirt from Snorg Tees. Labeled "this is why I'm hot" over a fireflower...well, you get it.
But we would have preferred if the artist had referenced Nelly's 'Hot in Here,' because apparently that melody will be resurrected every summer from now to eternity, keeping you in constant, trend-setting fashion whenever it gets hot outside. Available now for about $17.
PS. We love you Nelly, promise.

Crazy Expensive Gundam Shirts
The most I've paid for a t-shirt? Probably a hundred bucks or so for a Paul Smith shirt. That's nothing! Bandai and fashion maker Mastermind have joined forces to create pricey shirts. Swarovski crystal will be hand-switched into Gundam or Zaku design, costing an estimated ¥200,000 (US $1,690). Nutty! The "cheaper" versions will use glass instead of actual crystal and retail for ¥38,000 (US $320). Nutty, too!Pricey Gundam Shirts [Plastic Bamboo]

Doki Doki Majo Shinpan Goods Rush
SNK Playmore's inappropriate touching game is getting the useless trinkets ("goods") treatment with Doki Doki Majo Shinpan crap flying at us from all angles. Following the game's release to the delight of Japan's horniest creeps comes the t-shirt, the mouse pad, the cell phone strap, the mug and five types of phone cards. An art book and the already revealed CD soundtrack are also available.
