Seriously the best augmented reality terminals I've seen yet have been cameraphones. I really thing that's where it'll take off.
- QRCode/Semacode tagging
- GPS-enabled internet-retrieved info tagging (like tourist info, etc)
- EoJ/Black Magic style glyph-based 3D displays
- and now, tilt or robotic vision based superimposition of game assets on live video.
I love it...
