For those who can't watch the video's for whatever reason, a summary below:
The making of:
Ms. Nakagawa comes in. People are greeting each other. Some faint applause can be heard in the background, but it doesn't catch on.
Ms. Nakagawa is sitting in front of a green screen, saying the line "I've never seen that Super Robot before" several times.
The director walks her through her performance. They seem satisfied.
The young Kurumi Takahashi is sitting in a wooden construction, representing a vehicle of some sort. Like Ms. Nakagawa before her, she repeats the same line several times.
There is some applause. It seems they are done shooting.
The finished product:
OMG WTF IS GOING ON WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!!! #shokonakagawa
With that much Gundam SEED, I'm actually glad we're NOT getting this game over here in the States. Any more Jesus Yamato jokes and I'd rip my own head off.
When the hell are we going to get a proper HD SRW game though? Seriously, my PS3 is just crying out for some import-friendly giant robot goodness.
Oh, I totally know WHY they're doing it, Witzy. Doesn't stop me from being disappointed in them. I do seriously think that a fully HD SRW, with well-animated sprites and a few must-include series, would EASILY sell copies, if not consoles to those insane hordes of diehard SRW fans looking to play the next big game.
I guarantee you, if Bandprestco were to secure the rights to Gurenn Lagann or some stupidly popular show like that, the game would light up the charts, even if it was exclusive to the HD systems. Who knows, maybe they're working on one right now, and these quick and easy DS games are just their way of tiding people over until the real sequel comes.
I'm a G Gundam guy. With the exception of the Alpha series, which survives because of its AWESOME original characters, if an SRW game doesn't have G Gundam in it, I tend to not be too interested.
Although I will admit I kinda want to play SRW Z, if only for the awesomeness that is Big O.

Super, super weak man.
01/15/09
That'll feel pretty weird.
It's a really weird series mix, but Dangaioh has me sold.
Oh what the hell am I saying you know I'd buy it even if it had only series I didn't like.

I'm pretty sure Jeeg is pretty damn old too. :P

...Zoids won't be a part of Super Robot Wars "
Bad Ashcraft! Check then double check your writing!
01/15/09
Yeah, it's actually the first time Zoids IS in an SRW, and that Getter Robo is missing (which has normally been a staple for the series).
01/15/09
Actually, Getter's been missing from at least one game before, hasn't it...? I thought the only series to NEVER miss a game is the Mazinger franchise.

There was an SRW on the 360.
01/15/09
The PS3 does not = where the game will sell.
Production costs will not be offset by purchases.
Just look at how the older PS2 versions did. They have been releasing too many versions of the game so they went and oversaturated their own market.
01/15/09
That means absolutely nothing to me for two reasons.
One: It was a port of the rather terrible GameCube SRW game, with badly animated 3D models and virtually no series of note...
Two: The 360 isn't even remotely close to import-friendly. Region-free without modding = win.
