Making irrelevant awards voted on by users, once again. That which sells best (SF, CC) is always bound to win because users voting tend to vote on games they own. So these type of "awards" are basically a pat on the back to the best-selling games, not the best games (although the two aren't always mutually exclusive). Or maybe I'm just bitter that Braid, which I consider by far the best Live game of 2008, only won a single award.

I don't understand how a game that released with a game killing glitch(bye bye save data), one that wasnt fixed for over 4 months, won an award like that.

@Daftmouse: Give them a break. They aren't a big studio. I think they had like what, three people working on the game? It takes time.

Unfortunately for Behemoth the trophy is broken and in need of repair. They can expect a fixed trophy very soon...as in 14 months.

Glad to see a lot of good games winning. I love XBLA games, short and sweet! I'm upset Bionic Commando: Rearmed or Soul Calibur not getting any sort of recognition, but still all is good :)

I reallly like the XBLA service, can't wait for the spring arcade to show up!

@FlagshipFighter: Yep, Bionic Commando: Rearmed is easily my favorite XBLA game of last year, and it along with Ikaruga deserved far more accolades than they received. I can't see how that spastic looking crappily animated SSFIIHDR won "Best Remake" over BC:R and "Best Graphics" in general.

@Kobun: That would be because it was actually really good, when you aren't looking at other games through rose-colored glasses.

@Rompehamster: Sigh...missed the days of simplicity. I would much trade any of those "next gen shooters" in for The Simpsons Beat em up or the one with Captain American in it...

I'd take a 2d edition of this. a straight DC port. This is a killer app for me.

Seriously I really do think those games dont even need "HD" remixes.

Just release the damned thing as is and it will sell better than having to budget a team to redo everything.

@Witzbold: That's probably true, but I never once bought a re-release of SF2 but I did buy the HD remix.

I just don't see the point to buy something again if nothing has been done to make it better.

    That's just my opinion though.
