@DemanRisu: You mean the fireballs that are unaffected by gravity, which are also fired at a faster pace than Mario's fireballs? Those deal more damage, so "wimpy?"
Besides, Luigi is an aerial recovery master! Green Missile, Luigi Cyclone, and his Super Jump Punch all help out in attacking and making it back to the stage.
Luigi has always been my favorite. I dunno, I've always liked the second-best/second-in-command/underdog characters. It's like they're the ones no one goes after, but they have the ability to compete.
In the chase of Luigi, Bowser is never after him. Bowser never goes after Daisy, though that's probably because Daisy would put up a fight. Though Mario does pretty much get all the attention, Luigi is at least able to live a normal life and be a Mario Brother.
Luigi needs another game! Maybe something like Bowser Jr. does kidnap Daisy after how Peach is constantly being saved by Mario. Bowser Jr. thinks it'll be easy as pie, but Luigi's inner strength awakens!
@sci-fi_wasabi: Well, considering Bowser Jr. still helps Bowser kidnap Peach, the incentive now really is that Bowser Jr. wants a mother, even if the person isn't his real mother.
@N●Gage Croal: @N●Gage Croal: I think that's a little late to the party, Birdo's post-op. (In America. Pre-op in Japan, if I remember my Captain Rainbow correctly.)
I think this projecting of non-heteronormative orientations on Mario characters is getting far too silly. Until it's outright said, these are merely amusing winks and nudges from the developers. (Hey, it makes the fans talk.)
@N●Gage Croal: Nah, I got it. The problem is, I don't think Birdo is one in Japan. At least according to Captain Rainbow. Still only a Transvestite in that.
I think it was more a case of Peasley being just THAT suave and debonair than Luigi feeling "confused." Either way, I've liked Luigi more than Mario for a while, just because he has so much more personality. I'd like to see him get his own game again sometime soon.
I like the idea of luigi as effeminate. Mostly because I like the idea of Daisy as his hag and of her being paired with Waluigi, who I love more than Luigi.
Is the jumping always like this?
It seems even more floaty than LBP, and after the numerous comments made by people saying that MM needs to take platform lessons from Nintendo because the jumping "sucked" I should hope that was just the video.
Still, I liked the floatyness of LBP, picking this up tonight for the missus, she wants a new game to play together on her Wii and wont let me go for Darkside Chronicles... #newsupermariobroswii
@Blore07: It's because the framerate is awful and the game is slowing down. Emulating new consoles is a pretty tough task even for fast PCs. #newsupermariobroswii
@OMGLX: I didn't like it. Seemed a little too much like something I might hear being played in a grocery store... I mean, it was fine until the jazzy saxophone came in... nah, not my taste... #newsupermariobroswii

Then there was the penguin in Thousand Year Door that thought Mario was Luigi. That was funny.

That is not in-game music and that is not how the game plays because it is running on an emulator.
So many people seem to be asking these questions without reading other people's comments... #newsupermariobroswii

Those of you looking for the music...
It's Chtonic's EXCELLENT remix from Super Mario 64, titled "Fleeting Ecstasy."
Freely available from OCRemix.

Had this mix on my MP3 player for YEARS now, I loooove OCRemix.
