    Are there seriously people in this world that find long fingernails attractive? I know the girls in nail salons find something to like about them, but does any second party? To me, they are garish no matter what is painted on them. How the hell do you do shit with them preventing so much of your grasping ability anyway?

    @SacGamer: I wouldn't call it stupid. In my mind, long fingernails set off the same preemptive judgements about a person as things like a tramp stamp or a fake tan.

    @SacGamer: Everyone makes preemptive judgements of others to a degree. I'm not saying that I make up my mind about a person based solely on their appearance, but when you see someone for the first time, part of your first impression of that person is their looks. In fact, "first impression" would have been a more appropriate phrase than "preemptive judgement".

    Nobody is supposed to have claws like the ones in this picture, cool art on them or no. Neatly trimmed fingernails are great, but there's no reason for a girl, or anyone else, to have talons like that other than for the sake of (questionable) aesthetics.
