Yep. That’s good ol’ Mario, alright. Our favorite plumber would never kill us in our sleep.
We all know Super Mario 3D World is super rad. Just how rad is it? YouTuber Mark Brown took a look at the modern classic for his semi-regular "Game Maker's toolkit" video series, and makes a case for putting 3D World in the time-honored "totally hella rad" category. That might not be the name of an actual honorific.
Bowser has been around long enough that many gamers have found themselves wondering: is Mario's longtime nemesis really all that bad? Maybe he's just...misunderstood? Perhaps his intentions are pure, but as a flawed despot struggling to maintain order in his kingdom, he doesn't always make the best decisions.
Nintendo surprised fans by promoting one of Mario's sidekicks to a starring role this morning. Let's take a look at the Mushroom Kingdom's newest hero, shall we?
Nintendo just dropped a wonderful surprise during its E3 address for all the Super Mario 3D World fans out there. The Toad levels from that amazing 2013 platformer are being turned into a full-blown game of their own. It's called Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and it's coming out this holiday season.
Ever since the new season of Game of Thrones started, I've gathered with a group of friends each Sunday night to play video games for a few hours before the new episode airs. We sometimes call it pre-gaming Game of Thrones, because we're huge dorks.
Travel back in time once more to the 1980s, a magical age when video game tips and tricks were delivered by warm, friendly voices over tinny television speakers, and no one called you names for needing help beating a Mario platformer.
If you have been watching TV over the past few weeks—particularly, if you spent all of Saturday watching a Harry Potter marathon on ABC Family because it was on and you like wizards whatever don't judge—you've probably seen a commercial or two for the Wii U.
Aww. While you can find a variety of posts on Miiverse, finding one like this one in Super Mario 3D World—which was posted this weekend by Tiny Cartridge—makes you wish it's just a post where it is someone pulling your leg and not actually a kid throwing out a cry for help.

I freakin' loved the new Super Mario Bros. But I'm a human, with hands for loving video games. I'm not a cat, dressed up like Mario and forced to re-enact the moves of a video game for the enjoyment of humans on the internet.
Sure, Super Mario 3D World is a great game — but how is it as a musical?
Super Mario 3D World is a terrific video game. It's just not a very good Wii U game.
The upcoming Wii U platformer Super Mario 3D World, like many other Nintendo games, won't have online multiplayer. If you want to play with other people, you'll have to do it in the same room.
The people who make Super Mario 3D World want you to know that it's pretty great.
Yeah, the name could have been snappier, but if you're in need of a new Wii U game to look out for, they don't get more promising than this.
Do you know Mario? Do you really know Mario? The long and storied history of the plumber (ahem, not janitor) has been a crazy ride through all sorts of changes, new settings and new features. And it's those changes that make up the core of the games he stars in.
It's been a while since a new Super Mario Bros. game looked amazing. Agree? We all respect the New Super Mario Bros. games, right? They're classic... like Nintendo just baked a great new loaf of bread. Refined... like Nintendo just wrote a new sonnet. But exciting? Not really. That's where November's new Mario comes…
Cat Mario is Nintendo’s ploy to dominate the internet. Think about it. The internet loves Mario. It also loves cats, especially when they’re doing funny things. So, the feline power-up that Nintendo’s iconic plumber gets in Super Mario 3D World should be prime raw material for GIF creation. And if that doesn’t work,…
