    Needs an Outrun theme track/level or character. Also, the lack of Streets of Rage characters makes me uhhh....Rage. You can have Axel drive a Police Car.

    So their big difference from Mario Kart is a special powerup for each character? Did they never play Mario kart Double Dash for Gamecube?

    @Gantz: Your Trusted Friend in Science.: I had to blow up the picture to make sure. The red hair and shirt style were the only things that made it clear enough to tell the difference. Even if that is Beat, did he grow his hair out or something?

    Bonus points to Sumo if they cel-shade him in-game.

    Thanks for the nice write up (and hello from Sumo!).

    If you've seen the GameCon interview you'll see that we did try Sonic running, but it's not much fun being squashed flat by Eggmans monster truck :P

    We wanted to make a proper Sega arcade racer, so it's all of them in their own vehicles. We've tried to get that OutRun/Daytona/Scud Race racing feel, then pep it up with weapons and the All-Star moves.

    Anyway - thanks for the positive comments, hopefully you'll enjoy the game, once we've finished it that is! Back to the grind :P
