Zen Pinball is pretty... lame. I dunno, I just wasn't impressed. I don't recall if I was ever impressed by digital pinball... with the exclusion of Sonic Spinball and that Tiger Electronic game I had when I was 5...
@2NinjasTapedTogether: I had a pinball game with a viking board, and an awesome soundtrack... actually i only played it for the soundtrack..
...
pinball sucks.. great soundtrack though
@2NinjasTapedTogether: Sounds like you just aren't in the set of people Zen should be trying to please. For people like me, who grew up on both real and digital versions of Pinball games (Alien Crush is my personal favorite for the TG-16), Zen Pinball touches me in just the right places.
SA WEET.
I love Zen Pinball, and I look forward to a new table for it. I will NEVER have a high score on the leaderboards, but I love playing it all the same. Remember when beating your high score was all that mattered in games? *sigh* Good times...
@TitillatedOcelot: seriously dude. i personally wished that trophies and achivements were an offline affair. i hate that some of them tie you to having to sacrifice a social life just for getting a cyber trophy.
@TitillatedOcelot: I really like Zen on PSN as well, but man, I'm not very good at it. I'm excited if I score 14 million on a table, only to compare it to the 500 million scores on the leaderboards and realize I suck.
@bakagaijin: I'm at the point where I've found a few of the "sweet spots" on the Tesla table. If you can find those and knock off a few "experiments" the points start to rack up fast. I think if there were ever an actual pinball machine that could successfully duplicate the "Chain Reaction" experiment, my head would explode.
And the last thing I would hear would be "Fyooss...BLOWN!"
This reminds me of that theme for Pinball FX or whatever it's called on XBLA. Not big on pinball games but it was decent for $10. I don't know anyone else with the game but I liked it.
@Violent St. Cannon: Zen Pinball and Pinball FX are made by the same company.
I picked up Zen Pinball last month and it is a lot of fun if you like Pinball games.
Since they partnered with Capcom for this table, I hope they do more tables like this. I would love to see a Megaman pinball table.
Or remakes of some of the best arcade pinball machines like the Adams Family or Jurassic Park.
@Nulls: Oh man, I would kill for a recreation of the Adam's Family and Jurassic Park pin-ball machines. Also, I'd like to see the Rescue 911 pin-ball machine - I don't even remember if that machine was any good, I just remember it being one of the first machines I played as a wee-li'l lad.
He's saying that the PS3 gets things a year later than the 360. As was the case with Fallout 3 DLC and Bioshock, as is the case with this pinball game. At least it's worth the wait (barely), since some games include bonus modes and such, like Sigma 2.
Who wants to play pinball on their Playstation? I know the PS3 costs almost as much as a pinball machine, but it's just not the same thing :(

@SK8NYC:
The problem is, for many people it is tough to find physical pinball machines (and even if you do find some sort of arcade that has a few, your options are pretty limited).
Pinball simulations are never going to fully replace the unique aspects of a physical pinball machine, but for people who don't have easy access to real pinball machines, it's the next best thing. And especially now that we have high def consoles that can really go a long way towards simulating real pinball physics, sounds, and look almost photorealistic, it's not that bad.
