Why can I find nothing about this title? Who is Destineer? What have they done before? Is this like Skate, but with snow? As one who likes snowboarding games, mas informacion es muy benficionado.
@Gyaruson: Destineer is a Minnesota-based developer/publisher. They published a bunch of really really bad games, such as Homie Rollerz, Candace Kane's Candy Factory, and Cake Mania. They also published Taito Legends 2 though.
Bongfish is the actual developer of Stoked. The only other game they have made is Stoked Rider and its expansion, which was another snowboarding game that looks like it was cel-shaded.
I have to say that Cake Mania isn't that bad of a game. It's not worth the money they ask for it, of course, but would be excellent as a free Flash game.
Hopefully this turns out better than Shawn White's Snowboarding, which was nothing short of a trainwreck. I'm thankful that I didn't buy it ... but my friend did! DOH!
All I want is a nice realistic Snowboarding game that's similar to Skate. Is that too much to ask for?
I did like the open world / mountain experience in SWS tho, that and the ability for friends to just drop in at any given time. I wish that Skate had the same thing for its online Freestyle mode, which is gimped as fuck. Argh.
I think Shaun White for 360/ps3 is great. Controls are bad initially since you can't map the buttons but after you get used to it, the game is more realistic than any snowboard game that has come out. Other snowboarding games focus on racing or getting points on a linear path, which I'm sick of.
I just can't get used to the controls. Maybe I should spend more time with it. What was that series of Snowboarding games that came out for the Xbox, that were supposedly realistic?

Not a single jump or trick succeeded.
"weak"
"Weak"
"WEAK"
"WEAK!!!"
Weird advertising scheme with the video, "Come play our game, and experience the thrill of FAILING, A LOT."

Amped 3 was pretty good....
I'm holding out for Amped 4.
And Amped 3 is under 15 bucks used now...pick it up over Sean White...

Was Amped the realistic snowboarding game for the Xbox?
12/03/08
Well, it looks like it. Too bad that only Amped 2 is the only game in the series that features backwards compatibility for the 360.

That's right babbie! I went there and if you know that reference then you're an old fart too!

I feel the same way. I'm bummed that they haven't gone for that idea.
