    The could do something like vocaloid... combine a few generic syllables to make your name.


    ...but more likely they'll just refer to each character by class.

    What I don't get is that Westwood launched Earth and Beyond with almost every NPC having speech... So no idea how this is the first...

    Can we clarify on this further? I hope this pertains to the NPCs only. I really, really don't want to be on the mic when the ganking idiots start squawking in their high-pitched preteen voices.


    I'm all for the NPC voices though. When I tried the Age of Conan trial, I was impressed with that feature...up until I left the first town and discovered how incomplete that game was.

    Maybe they'll just hire voice actors to say the player's name whenever it comes up. XD
    Actually, I think Nintendo did something like that with some obscure Zelda game.
