My dissapointment was actually triggered by how annoyingly(is that a word?) difficult it was. Normally I welcome challenging games as long as it doesn't come paired with extreme annoyances.
For example, the deadly pinpoint shooting accuracy the A.I has plus its really hard to find out where their shots are coming from.
Next was the mission where you had to defend that med box or whatever it is. Can't exactly explain why, but it just wasn't that much fun which makes me worry about the mission structure.

Then again, I'm f**king amazing at every game so difficulty has never been a problem for me :P

Then there's the medical supplies you're supposed to save. I went from Heroic to infamous in one second because I accidentally landed on top of them and lit them on fire.

The action is just so fast-paced, fun, and very polished overall, so much that it actually feels as if you're a superhero. At least much more than them crummy Spiderman games.

You know, a bit of trivia, I actually tried to get in the military once, but guns scare the crap out of me... Of course, I had hoped to use the military to get some discipline, but it didn't end up happening, so it's a moot point.

And I am generally not a big fan of sandbox.
But it was a lot of fun and Cole had some nifty powers.
Only thing to bother me was the animation when climbing looked such a crazy amount of unrealistic I wasn't sure what to think, since I generally have a high opinion of Sucker Puch.
Also you died too friggin easy by your own account. I could stand a good distance away and still getting blown by my own grenade. You'd think that someone who absorbs electricity from everything around him wouldn't be so bothered by a shockwave of his own electric charge.
Last problem was not knowing where I am getting fired from. Lock-on never seemed to work for me.
But DAMN the game still managed to impress me something immense. It's best moments reminded me somewhat of Assassin's Creed mixed with the playfulness of Star Wars Force Unleashed Demo (because frankly, the demo played so much better than the real thing it isn't even funny)

thanks to you for reminding me how well sarcasm transfers via expressionless message postings..

When someone THANKS someone for doing one thing instead of doing an INTERESTING thing, chances are, they're being sarcastic.

I am impressed with the marketing with this game and more game companies need to follow what Sony and Sucker Punch are doing to promote this game.

I'm not saying it completely sucks. I like the nice touches - I was climbing a beam when someone ran up to me and whipped out his camera for a pic, and I thought that was awesome. Worth a rental at least, but I won't be buying it. Looking forward to Prototype instead.

Karma system was basically locked in the game, the freeroaming part was cut out, the skill progression was already filled in for both sides and the most annoying: EASY is a goddamn lie. Those kamikaze Reavers? Eugh.

@Rubix42: God... I know right? Screwing us fans over. We want super HD countdown clocks with subtle hints at sequels and painstaking clicks.
