The good news is they still haven't managed to make the Black Cat look anything less than adorable. Mrowl. Activision has released this vignette showcasing Spider-Man's allies in the war against completely screwing up the Spider-Man video game franchise for all eternity. Nice to The Prowler get a little video game lovin, and the inadvertent guest-appearance of the Small Soldiers trooper as Colonel Fury is nice touch. ]]> Kotaku-298140 Mon, 10 Sep 2007 10:20:03 MDT Mike Fahey http://kotaku.com/index.php?op=postcommentfeed&postId=298140&view=rss&microfeed=true <![CDATA[ Gallery: Spiderman 3 Screens ]]> I've been patiently waiting for the Spiderman movie franchise to trip over its own feet ever since the first movie was released. The whole thing feels a bit too much like the first set of Batman movies, especially now with the multiple villain format of the third film. Add to that the introduction of Gwen Stacy far too late in the development of Peter Parker's character and you get concrete proof that I am a massive geek.

While I may not have faith in the film franchise, I do have faith in Treyarch to deliver a solid Spiderman video game experience, each and every time. Take the same free-roaming gameplay as the previous outings, add in sewers and subterreanean tunnels, and get rid of those damn balloon missions and you've got a winner in my book. The PS3 screens below have a very 'angle you'll never see in actual gameplay' feel to them, but look stunning nonetheless. Michael Fahey

Posion Mushroom have posted scans of the latest strip, which features Spiderman, The Hulk, and Thor traveling to the Mushroom Kingdom.

They've got the whole thing posted at their site, 9 pages of comedy gold from a magazine for creepy toy collectors in their mid-30's. I'm a subscriber! Michael Fahey
