@pandafresh: Don't all futuristic sci-fi shooters look the same on the Xbox? Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of great 'futuristic' game on the market... but the way the XB renders bump-mapped metal textures is the same in all its' games.
@skaven: No. Lighting shaders are software-based and vary from engine to engine. Multiplatform games don't have different looking metals between 360 and PS3 releases. Also, game engines don't use bump maps. They use normal maps.
Isn't E3 going back to its "huge show open to the public" origins, and thus generating some income for the ESA? If so, membership fees should drop again.
