Dude thing, or lady thing? Upcoming Wii game Captain Rainbow seeks to capitalise on this confusion by making Birdo the centre of one of your first quests. Birdo needs your help getting "her" out of jail, after the fuzz - convinced she's a he - lock her up for using the women's bathroom. And the only way you can get her out?

Go find some "evidence that I'm a woman"

Which of course means going to her house. Then finding that her pillow's vibrating. Then lifting up the pillow to find...something. Whatever it is, it's censored, but it's under her pillow, it's vibrating, then you get a little message saying "Proof that the owner is a woman".

Please let this game get a release outside of Japan, Nintendo. Please.

<![CDATA[Captain Rainbow Says, "Please Turn Over"]]> Wow, just wow. You are looking at the box art for Japanese Wii title Captain Rainbow from developer Skip. The game follows Nick, Captain Rainbow's alter-ego, who's no longer popular as he used to be and goes to Minmin Island in hopes of becoming popular again. There his path crosses with other characters from Nintendo games like Punch Out's Little Mac who wants to become a great fighter again and Super Mario Bros. 2's Birdo who wants to pick up dudes. Oh, so the side of the box, it reads: "This is not a cool hero game!" Next to that: "Calmly read in detail the explanation on the back!" Under the game's logo, it says "Please Turn Over" in a phallic speech bubble. Rather polite.

<![CDATA[Captain Rainbow Continues to Defy Belief]]>
In case you missed it, Captain Rainbow is an upcoming Wii title, the next game from Skip, the guys behind Chibi Robo. A few weeks back, we caught the game's first trailer, starring Birdo, and were all double-u-tee-eff. Now, though, it's been lovingly translated (here, if you're interested), along with the game's second trailer, which features another Nintendo star, Little Mac. Who's, uh, not so little anymore. Birdo's above, Little Mac after the jump, but a word of warning: you'll still be all double-u-tee-eff.

<![CDATA[Gaze at the Miyamoto Chibi-Robo Drawing! Do It!]]> While Wired's Chris Kohler was recently in Japan, "doin' his thang," he swung by game creator Skip—the good people that brought us the GameCube's wonderwork Chibi-Robo. While snooping around the office, looking for shit to steal, Kohler happened across this truly lovely Chibi-Robo drawing done by Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto. Cool find, indeed! Kohler then built his own Chibi-Robo shrine at his pad in San Fran. No, really.
