MK Vs. DC: Batman Versus Sub-Zero

Is the concept for Mortal Kombat Vs. The DC Universe as silly in action as it is in theory? Yes. Yes it is. GamesRadar has the exclusive trailer shown at the Midway Gamer's Day Event, and as you can see...yeah. The worst part? You just know they are going to include Aquaman. I say kick it up a notch and make Aquaman a timed underwater boss fight. Go crazy with it!

Clip: Sega Developer Kidnapped, Bunny Ear Cut Off

While I'd like to think this has something to do with that unforgivable hedgehog-human kissing, this viral ad actually seems connected with that "big announcement" next month. You know, the one in which Sega says they'll stop driving the Sonic franchise into the ground. Can't wait. More »

Sonic the Vacuum Cleaner
This Amazon mistake (or perhaps it was on purpose) is very silly, true, but it still cracked me up. Sonic the upright vacuum indeed.

The 1Up Cake
Sometimes the simple things are the coolest. This 1Up cake is plain awesome. I'll refrain from the jokes about what happens when you eat it.

Waiter, This Shooter Is 2 SPICY!

The title may sound like a stupid pop song, but Sega's arcade title 2 SPICY looks like major kick assage. Say what you'll want about Sega (they've killed Sonic, Love and Berry was devised by Satan, blah blah), but the company still believes in Japanese arcade gaming and for that they get props. Case in point: 2 SPICY. This urban shooter sports an inventive game play. We know that characters are controlled by using two foot petals for left and right movement. Apparently, you can do combos and duck and cover behind objects (probably crates or trash cans). There's even a versus fight mode, but no word if that's any good or not. Still, the game seems to be different, slightly adventurous. Bummer about the title. 2 SILLY. More »

Breakfast Pastries Provide Knit Cap, Self-Confidence

Destructoid's Niero located this in eponymous east-coast supermarket chain, Publix. I've been watching the bizarre new Pop Tarts ad campaign with interest ever since noticing how much it resembles the work of cult animator and creator of "Rejected", Don Hertzfeldt. More »

Halo 2 Hits Half a Billion

Frankie reports that gamers have played half a biliion Halo 2 games since its launch a year and a half ago. If you're keeping track, that means Halo 2 beat iTunes to the big Five-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh by six months. Isn't that how much money Dr. Evil wanted to spare the planet from his tirade? More »

Dreamy Video Game Pin Site

Chris sends us word of his quirky video game sticker and pin site. That's right, the site sells video game-themed stickers and pins and they're quirky. Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think they fit in the dreamy category. The little pins feature game icons like Lara Croft with big Moo-Cow eyes lazing on her belly, her legs dangling behind her. Another features the disembodied head and buxomy bosom of Resident Evil 4's Ashley. She's a little cross-eyed, but I find that cute in proposterously large breasted women. —Brian Crecente More »
