The last time we saw cat-head sucking Shoko Nakagawa promoting a Super Robot Taisen game, she was all glammed up as Shoko-tan Version 2.0. For the upcoming Super Robot Taisen Taisen Original Generations, she's returned to her nerd cosplay robots by donning the mecha armor of in-game character Valsione. Shoko-tan, a cosplay nerd herself, says this was the most spectacular cosplay of her life, and she even went as fair as trimming her hair and her fingernails for this costume. Now, that's dedication.

<![CDATA[ Get Shoko-tan's Autograph! ]]>

Our favorite cat head sucking, Super Robot Taisen W promoting fujyoshi (female otaku) Shoko-tan has scribbled her name and a cat head (go figure!) for Famitsu to give away to five lucky readers. In non-related gaming news, but totally related Shoko-tan news, hit the jump for a obsessively cool rendering of her face!

<![CDATA[ Shoko-tan. Version 2.0 ]]>

Banpresto, what have you done to Shoko-tan?! The Shoko we know lives with her mother, adores Dragon Quest and takes public transportation around Tokyo. But here she is. Painted in garish make-up, hair puffed and not putting kittens in her mouth. WHAT GIVES?

Meet the new Shoko Nakagawa. She's appearing in a TV ad for Banpresto's upcoming Super Robot Wars for the DS. Sure she's always been somewhat cute, but now she's been done over to look like every other beautiful model type on TV. Boring! To her credit, Shoko-tan says that to raise her excitement during the filming, she would think that she was cosplaying an adult.

It's like "Train Girl" or something. In Akihabara, otaku must be mourning a loss of one their own.

<![CDATA[ Capcom Female Employee Kicks Ass, Lies ]]>

SHOCKING: Not everything you see on Japanese TV is for reals. Take a February 4th episode of Fuji TV's Sutamen, which profiled female otaku. So, there was a woman who liked erotic figures and another who kicked ass at fighting games.

The fighting games lady destroys all Capcom's Street Fighter II. The clip even apparently says she's a "regular" office worker a company connected with the game industry. Harmless enough, right? Not exactly.

Get this: She's employed by Capcom. Not that being amazing at Street Fighter II is a pre-requisite for working there, but still. She's appeared at Capcom events in the past, dressed as Chun-Li even!! Heck, she even hangs out with uber geek Shoko-tan! Otaku? Yes. "Regular" office lady? Hell no.

<![CDATA[ From Akiba To Crappy TV Ads ]]>

Uh huh. You're looking at Akiba's biggest idol Shoko Nakagawa. How big is she? She's parlayed dressing up as game characters into being the "face" of loan company Promise, a book based on her popular blog and a CD single. What's all the fuss? Besides her top page being wall-to-wall Mario, she's even posted a photo with Hudson's human mascot Takahashi Meijin's name written on it! Yup, she's a dork.
